I'm guessing mucher's ESC = TSX's VSA??

ESC = Electronic Stability Control?

I think someone here has installed a RSX's LSD in their TSX...it's been at least a year since I've seen the thread. I think he also put in RSX gears also...

Yes the TL does have and LSD. And yes cars with ESC do benefit from a LSD. If you can put the power down (with and LSD) and the ESC doesn’t have to limit power or slow you down that would be why you would want a LSD. ESC just helps you start if it is slippery or ESC can save your bacon if you get out of control...sometimes.

Quaife also makes a LSD for our cars. I'm considering adding one in the near future (once my "package" arrives ).

The kit itself is not exorbitantly expensive, but installation adds quite a bit to the overall price.

I thought Black_6spd opted not to get the LSD?

I wonder if the '07 and '08 owner's manual still has that little disclaimer about riding around on the spare tire with a 6 speed.

It's all right if they put the spare tire at the rear though.

In my humble opinion, an LSD (Quaife) is one of the best, if not THE best, mod we can do to our TSX's. It's just expensive. You almost have to wait until you need to replace the clutch and then do an LSD, flywheel, and clutch all at the same time.

Yeah, but not on the AWD TSX models though.

Why? what kinds of improvements would you see? I thought these things were only useful on slippery roads and low traction situations.

You said it yourself, "low traction situations", as in accelerating in a straight line to accelerating around corners. An LSD will help you hook up either doing a "U" turn all the way to long sweepers. Currently our car with VSA on will fall on it's face when it encounters tire spin....it's annoying. With VSA off, one tire with the least amount of traction will spin. An LSD will enable both tires to drive up to their limit of traction. VSA will kick in when both tires loose grip.
