License plate required on Front bumper in WA?

I personally think the license plate on the front bumper ruins the styling of the TSX. Does anyone know if it's ok not to mount a plate on the front bumper? I live in Bellevue, WA.

Many thanks!

hehe....funny you mention it...I want to park my old out-of-registration Legend at the nearby train station until I am able to sell it. so I just took down the front plate yesterday & put it on.

Anyone got an idea what sort of trouble I'd be in if a nosy cop looks it up and found that plate & car description don't match ???

While we're on the question of front plates, do I need one in VA or MD? I'm moving to that area and would like to continue to run without the front plate, but don't know if it's a good idea. Input is much appreciated. Thanks.

Don't know 'bout WA, but here in VA, MD, and DC it is required.

I personally think that it ruins every car style, not just TSX. I don't see Vet owners 'round here have one on and don't think they ever got in to any trouble with that...

About put it on the dash, I don't think its a good idea, though. In an accident, it could flies out and chop your girl's head off, well.., if that what you want then it's a different story

I didn't put front plate on mine, so the Si, and S2000 I had. Got pull over once, told the cop I got in an accident and still wait for the bracket replacement

Jump in.., the water is fine!!!

hey TJs TSX,

like your comments I see a lot of 04 TLs around here without a front plate. I guess I will go without it until I get pulled over or something (knock on the wood). One problem is that my dealer already had a front plate drilled into my front bumper, i wonder what i can do to cover the holes elegantly. FYI, my car is only 2 weeks old wearing a temp license plate.

Thanks.

Thankx 'bro.

Here in VA, the bracket mount is comes from underneath the front air duct, no holes are drilled.

S2000 has a tiny part that cover licence plate holes also comes with the car. You can get it from honda dealer(6-8$) or they just might have some lying around after they took 'em off the car and put the bracket on. Paint the suckers to match your car and stick it in.

This seem to be the most cost effective I can thinking of. Good luck 'bro, I don't think 4doors sedan will get much attention from a cop anyway! Hope this help.

front plate is required in WA, and it cant be too far away from the ground (forgot the exact clearance), but i know that putting it onto the dashboard is definitely too far away from the ground & you will get tickets for it
my front plate hasnt been onto my car for almost 2 months, so far no tickets yet^o^

Thanks.

The TSX plate bracket isn't drilled into the front bumper. Are you sure yours is drilled in?

i just double checked and realized that the bumper wasn't drilled. i was deceived by the top 2 screws and thought they penetrate through the bumper.
