I thought a thin chrome frame on the rear would complement the chrome Acura and TSX lettering and the A icon above the plate. Anyone already using this? Does it look as nice as I imagine?

I have done it to other cars, and it does just what you say. It compliments the chrome of the emblems nicely. I say go for it, especially if you like it.

There are some "chrome" TSX plates on ebay, which I and some other members bought. Recently I noticed that the frame has begun to rust, which I believe happened to some other people too but not everyone. Just wanted to warn you about that possible issue. On the other hand they are pretty cheap so it's not a big loss.

Anyone have a carbon fiber look frame? I was thinking either a thin chrome frame as people have suggested or the carbon fiber look frame...I have a NBP/EB.

Here in New York they were giving out tickets for license frames that obscured parts of the lettering on the license plate. Nice to know New York is so safe and secure that such an issue can be a concern.

I have one on the back and I think it looks great. Its only held down by two screws so I had to put some foam weatherstrip to keep it from rattling.

I have a chrome silver and green College of William and Mary frame in the back. (now you guys in DC area can spot me ). The only neg drawback is it rattles a bit with loud music, or heavy bass, cuz it uses only two screws, which are placed up top, and the bottom of the frame isn't securely fastened to the car.

A word to the wise to those looking at the chrome TSX plate. I bought one off eBay, and it looked great for about 3 weeks. Then it slowly started oxidizing. Now it looks like this:

Does anyone make a nice chrome one that won't crap out like this?

what a bummer
It seems a lot of people have frames from the dealer.
I been wondering if it is more in my interest to switch to one that's not advertizing for the dealer because I have it serviced at another dealer ?

I have a plain gloss black frame in the back. I was thinking chrome wouldn't look as nice with a white cali plate. I was going to put a covered frame in the front, but the necessary screws wound up being different, so I threw the whole assembly in the trunk until I could get new screws.
That was about 8 months ago. I like the cleaner look without the front plate and figure I'll just cough up the fine if they ever decide to ticket me at some point... =P

Every picture perfect art needs a frame! I use a pair of black frames with clear covers from www.mats.com. Super classy look with my black TSX.
