Which license frame is nicer?

I just bought a "TSX" license frame and I feel like I may regret not getting an Acura license frame instead. I also have a third frame, which I only really use in the summer because I'm afraid that it may rust or corrode due to the salt.

Of these 3 frames with a clear or smoke cover, which looks or what would you pick to put on your TSX?

A.
(Had kind of like this one, but it rusted, so that is why I bought a TSX one instead).

B. (I bought this one).

C. (still have it, but don't use it often).

I chose A, but I love the Acura Logo. Where can you get it?

And as much as I like the logo, C is just overkill (to me).

Talking

I have too much pain from the 09 Model line-ups to put another Acura logo on my car.

TSX FTW!

They should have it at handaaccessories.com

I have C.
Its been on my car for 2 years and no rust. I like it. I like the TSX one too but option C is what they had at AutoZone so I took that one. Actually all of them look nice.

Option B, I still have my dealer license plate covers on, the only reason is because they have a plastic covering that protects the actual license plate and keeps it in good condtion.

btw; xenonhid' thats one sparkling TSX, me like.

I have option C. I kinda like it cuz it flows with my NBP. After getting it I noticed that those logos do cut off some the corners of my plate numbers.

Muchas Gracias!

I'm masking the pain of seeing the 09's by keeping the first gen TSX clean!

To the OP: I believe any sort of cover -- clear or tinted -- over your license plate is illegal in Illinois. Same here in California.

Well, I want to keep the plate clean and don't want some idiot trying to steal my registration sticker it costs now about 80-90 bucks. I'm thinking of just getting a clear slim cover and put a frame around it to conceal that I have a cover there. Thanks for the heads up.

I just purchased option 'A' for myself earlier this week, but I actually really like option 'B'.

A looks like something the dealer would force upon your car while you look away, having both the name and logo looks like desperate brand promotion.

B looks awesome, it puts emphasis on the TSX model and deprives the drivers of other Acura models of the love of which they are not deserving.

C looks gaudy, more suited for a Cadillac or Lexus.

Ever since CA required proof of insurance when renewing your tags, registration sticker theft has gone way up (according to my police officer neighbor).

When I apply a new tag (just the year sticker here in CA), I take an X-acto knife and slice through it diagonally so it's hard to peel off. I also put some clear glue over it.

It doesn't prevent someone from cutting up your plate or stealing it all together, but it offers some marginal protection.

CT's now issuing reg stickers that go in the lower driver's side corner of your windshield to combat the theft problem. I should get mine in July.

This is what I have on my CL-S. Its more symmetrical than frame A. I dont like frame C because it seems kinda tacky so this is a good alternative

when the weather gets warmer and no more salt i'm going to put my TSX frame on.

yeah i'm kind of embarrassed and disappointed at Acura's situation right now. Maybe they'll put out a great new TL? But, after the ugly new Pilot, ugly makeover of the RL, and the disappointing next TSX, I have a bad feeling that the new TL will also be a letdown.

well, i finally put this frame on the back of my TSX today. i had the acura name and logo one with a tinted license plate cover and a cop told me that is illegal to have a cover, it was just a warning though. he said that it's been IL law for about 5 years. so, i just ditched the covers now and have no cover, but i have the TSX license frame like this and bought some acura logo screw covers to finish the look. now i got the bling look to my car now.

I have one that looks exactly like the one that says 'TSX', but plain, without any logos/writing. I got it at Target for like $10. Looks nicer than no frame IMO.

Personally, I think the one with the TSX logo looks good, but I can't help but feel that it looks redundant on the car. I've seen some TSXs with this license plate, and the back of the car ends up having two 'TSX' logos. Maybe I'm weird, but I think it looks a bit odd.

i got myself this one

http://www.amazon.com/Acura-License-...3249211&sr=8-1

i really like the style on it. and its much cheaper. although shipping kinda breaks even compared to buying the OEM frame from the dealer. but saves me the hassle of meeting some people i dont like at the stealership

I'm reppin' for Josh wish an Excelerate LLC license plate frame. If it wasn't for that I'd be frameless though.

Yup, just plain looking chrome frame. Looks exactly like the TSX one, minus the writing.

you didn't have "none of the above". i have no border of any kind. just the plain plates. nice and clean. i also cut up my registration sticker in a star pattern with an exacto knife. and i put weatherstripping around the back of the plates to prevent any rattling noises...

I used to have one that looked like "B", but instead of black TSX letters it had a subtle sandblasted/machined silver look to the letters. I really liked it until it rusted -- I wish I would've thought to take it off for the winter. I'm frameless now, but am considering getting another frame with the same subtle look to it.

Exactly what I was going to say.

I don't like plate frames saying what's already said on the card. Hence, (a) is redundant (you already have the (A) logo on the car, and have "Acura" written elsewhere), and (c) is downright awful ("logo, logo, lookit my logos!"). If you de-badge, and your plate frame says "TSX," you've got it all.

FYI, I hve a shiny, no bolts exposed plate frame. Transparent cover keeps the plate clean.

I miss my Jeep.
