Less than a week old got a scratch on it!!!

So pissed of should find the bastard and kill him? Parked my car where i live and come out this morning some bastard starched it, and to me it looks like someone was getting out for the space. I took a pic with my phone but you can still see the starch. i know the scratch is a baby but fuck the car isnt even a week old. should i find the bastard and confront, or just smash his window?

I'd be really pissed too, but don't smash a window. Confront him first, if you can even find the culprit.

confront, and if he/she is definitely at fault and won't offer to repair, smash window, but at a much later time when the person won't suspect you.

that's a pretty bad one.

but it's expected with side street parking. you're going to get scuffs, dings, divots from licensce plate bolts, etc...

time for the bumper badger.

i think he meant 'scratch.'

i don't think touch-up paint will help. if anything, it'll just make it look more ugly.

Agreed. It's too deep for touch-up paint, unfortunately.

Ouch. Reminds me when I finally got my rear bumper fixed for my 98 accord. Fresh paint and all. The next day someone backed into it at my apartment parking lot and took off.

LOL. I thought what he meant was that the perp tried to spray starch on it to cover it up.

Yeah, that does suck. For me, I'm slowly starting to notice the various little things on my TSX. It was a 2007 leftover and must have been touched, brushed up against, etc. a bunch while sitting in the lot.

Just got 08 TSX and the dealer scratched the front spoiler lip in 3 places and missed a screw that goes bottom up near the fog, they send it to body shop and it came back fine. This kind of damage, recommed a body shop. Not sure about you, I would be sick over this one a new car, and instead of steaming, just take it and fix it to be perfect. I did the same on my TL when I got it off the lease from a friend of mine. Just fix all the dings, scrateches at one, it is cheaper that way.

That sucks. My TSX is 3.5 years old and no scratches save for some rock chips on the front

Not to get off topic, but my dealer scratched my front lip and I made them order a whole new bumper. No way, was I going to let them repair it as they wanted to. In fact I made them next day air it.

I had the same thing happen to me, except I was at work!

I parked my car on the street, and the next thing I know there is this stripe in the same location on my car. Mine is all scuff, and most came out...but you can still tell that another vehicle rubbed against it there. Makes me mad thinking about it...grrrrrr.

Thank god where I work now has a nice parking lot with staggered spaces.
