KYB struts

KYB struts
I replaced my stock front struts with KYBs. The KYBs didn't have the lower collar where it lines up with the wishbone. It is lined up with the mark that is on the KYB and torqued appropriately.
Is it okay that the KYB doesn't have this full collar marked with the red box?
I'd like some affirmation that it is okay before I drive my family in the car.
Thank you!

As long as the strut isn't going though the wishbone then the collar isn't necessary. I had kyb agxs on my accord for three year before having to replace them. If you have lowering springs, they won't last.

Thanks for the reply. I assumed it was okay when it didn't collapse on me during my test drive.
That strut collar seems like a good idea though but the wishbone holds the KYBs just fine.
My TSX drives like a brand new car now with fresh front struts and all new rubber pieces!
