Key control (remote) not working...

Hey all,

I guess when you read this, you will right away say, 'BATTERY!!!' Nope... guess not... I can still see the light blink on top of the key control/remote so it has battery. Now it happens often that I tried to use it to open / lock door / open trunk... they all not working... I sometimes end up have to go back into the car and then lock all the doors.

Anyone has experience the same thing?

Jac

Most likely the brain in the car had a voltage spike?? You might have to take e trip to your dealer and have them program. Before you do that, try your spare remote and see if it works. If that spare works then you're SOL. Hope it helps.

It could still be batteries in the remote even if the light can come on

Easy way to verify that is to swap batteries with the other remote (assuming that one is working).

You should have received 2 key fobs. Did you check to see if the other key fob works?

Ya... so far there are problems here and there... but I'm trying to keep it alive 'cuz I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!

hm... I should ask my husband for his 'cuz I drive the car more anyway... and he uses my key instead when he's driving too... I'll try the other remote and see.

Another thing I found is that this usually happen when I'm just done with a short trip... when I drive a long one (like for 40 mins) then this problem doesn't happen. For example, I drove my car from work to a local mall (5 mins), it stopped working. Then I drove back to work (5 mins) still not working. Then I drove back home from work (40 mins) then it worked!!!! And it is still working this morning... weird.

I still think it's the batteries in your remote...
