Just saw an ad for the MazdaSPEED6
Hey guys,
Anyone test driven the monster MazdaSPEED6 yet? I just saw an ad for it on TV and then started doing some browsing online. That thing sounds REALLY fast. 270HP I4 turbo. Then it's got like 12.6 inch brakes in the front and on top of that is AWD. Then it gets the peak 280lbs of torque down low at 3000 RPM's. That thing sounds crazy! It doesn't look all that heavy either. Man... then the killer is that it's available for around $30,000 w/navigation. The touring version basically comes fully loaded except for navi at $30,000 MSRP. I think this thing definetely was brought out as a TSX killer.
What do you guys think? This is in the TSX discussion section because it's been rumored that the new TSX will have the RDX I4 turbo engine in it. Even equipped with that turbo... do you think the new TSX can even hang with the new Mazda? Just looking at the #'s makes me want to go out and test drive one.

Hopefully the RDX engine will be more tolerant of adverse conditions than the Mazdaspeed 6. You have to have near-perfect conditions for it to let you enjoy it's full power. For example, it will massively cut boost beyond 5500rpm for a number of reasons, like if your gas has a lower octane grade than 93.
