Red face Just Rambling

Hi all,
My personal comments @ 13k miles.

* Navigation
I'm an electronic junkie and like having the extra gadgets that I never use, therefore it was a must when I bought my car. I didn't use my navi sytem as much initially, but now I love having it and almost become dependent of it.

Pros: Comfort of taking detours from heavy traffic, accidents, or constructions. During major highway jam, it saved me numerous times to get around using local routes. I made it to my hair-cut appointment on-time, yeah~

Cons: I like having manual temperature/fan speed control without having to use my nav. Non-navi TSX, of course, has manual fan speed control which I like. It gets annoying waiting for your Navi warning message to dissapear so you don't freeze/cook to death. I also gained ~5 lbs. because I found more fastfood restaurants

* Rear-View Mirror
I owned 3 Hondas prior to TSX (Prelude, Accord, Vigor in order), and none of these cars' rear-view mirror shaked as much as TSX. Take a look at your rear-view mirror as compared to your driverside mirror, rear-view mirror shakes/vibrates a lot in comparison. This may have impact on dash crackling noise... so much vibration all around front windshield. My other Hondas were opposite, side-mirrors vibrated a lot during drive and rear-view mirror was rock solid. TSX rear-view mirror shakes with little amount of bass turned up... maybe it's just me.

* Paint Chips
I should state in advanced that my TSX is painted black (my first) so I may be merely pointing out something that is common to all cars and colors...

13k miles and I'm constantly touching up a paintchip around my hood. It almost feels as if the paint layers are weak or thin. I deal with many equipment manufacturers and they use much heavier coat of primer for all of their motorized parts/equipments. I look at paint chip area on my hood and I could barely see the primer layer, if any. I should note that I am not a paint expert so I may be just speaking out of ignorance, sorry. My 2cents on painting.

* Performance
Pros: Good performance to efficiency ratio. I drive conservatively (not because of my shifting driver-seat) and I average around 28 miles/gallon for both city and highway, good enough for me. I also enjoy the fact that this car does/will take little or no maintenance to run.

Cons: I'm an average Joe, I want more power of course with little impact on my gas current gas milage.

* Style
I love the look and feel of TSX, exterior and mainly due to interior. Lots of class, that's all I could say. One thing I do notice is that car's exterior looks narrow or tall as compared to other similar priced cars (Altima, Mazda6, etc.), so I'm little hesitant to purchase the side, front, rear skirts... I like the wide stance like TL, definitely don't want a Toyota Echo look.

I also love the dash lights and design, one of many reasons why I got this car... and I'm not even a pilot.

* Seats
1. It would have been nice to have front passenger seat motorized, so it actually feels luxery for anyone who sits in my car.
2. Memory seat would have been perfect for me, and I would have paid extra for it too. I'm married, enough said.

All in all sounds more like lot of complaints but it's not my intension, just wanted to share my views. I still love my TSX and glad I purchased it. Okay, enough rambling, sorry.

I think my mentor, William Hung, summarized my TSX the best: "it bang, it bangs ~ and it moves, it moves..." he said it with his hands moving, but I can't since I'm driving.
