Just got a new TSX

The first test drive was so cool.
I just had to buy it.
I will pick up the car this weekend.
6-spd in white.

Just wondering about the 91 octane? Do any of you guy or gals take it down to 87? does it hurt it?

See out there on the road!

Kevin

Congrats on your purchase! Use 91 or higher octane for best performance.

Do I always have to be the voice of reason around here? I'll say what everyone is thinking...
"If you cannot afford the appropriate gas, you bought a car that was too expensive for you. If you can afford a $27,000 car, you should be able to swing the extra few bucks for the premium gas."
You bought a nice car, don't get cheap now and not take care of it!

I agree 100%.

But if you think people are irrational on this count when it comes to cars, what about HOUSES? (Apartments too.) You know the expression, "House poor"? Like, when you just spent all your money buying the house, so you have nothing left to get anything for it? It's a common condition. And oddly, people seem proud of it. I've never seen anybody say they're "house poor" without a big smile on their face. I guess it's because they're happy about how much house they got -- makes it worth being poor.

and the other reason it stinks is because i like the fact that i don't see a lot of tsxs around when i'm out driving or whatever, and everytime someone buys one.. that's one more that's on the road. i feel like by the time i get mine.. everyone and their mom will be in one too.

but these posts are in no way meant to infringe upon this dude's happiness about his new tsx.. just my own issues.
