Just got my 2007 TSX Tinted. Opinions anybody?
Well I've been wanted to get my windows tinted since I bought it in Dec 06. I live in Cali and I know the legal limit for front is like 70% but nobody follows and I couldn't help resist what percentage I got. I got 5% on the back three and 15% in the front. Wow does it look nice, but it is pretty dark. My concern is getting pulled over for tickets. Does anybody else have the same tint or something close to it. Let me know what you guys have experienced. How dark does it look at night? Is it hard to see? I almost went with 20% all around but I saw a car there with it and it didn't look to dark. Anyways please comment.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I doubt you'll get pulled over just for that, but if they were pulling you over for another reason I bet they'd tack it on. In WA the legal limit is 35%, but I also see lots of 15/20%. I just gone mine done @ 35% - I do a lot of night driving and wanted to see.

Let me help you!
My accord has 20% all around, and it's a coupe, so the front windows are huge. I've never been pulled over for it...I've even stopped beside cops.
When cops are going around, they don't usually pull people over for certain things. In the beginning of the day, they might say, "today I'll pull over people who do california rolling stops." Otherwise, they'll be constantly pulling people over. If they do pull you over for something else, they'll most likely add your tint to the ticket.

Thanks for all the comments. I was wondering if you were to have a doctors note explaining why you need your windows tinted for health issues do u think that would fly with cops? And if anybody needs tint in the la area, the place where I got my tint done is a really great price. 150 for all windows and sunroof. Great job no complaints and lifetime warrenty.

in oregon if you have a letter from your optomotrist saying you need darker windows because your are light sensitive or something like that, its legal to have it darker then the legal limit. I dont know if its like that in other states but who knows.

just depends on your luck I guess. but normally, cops don't pull you over for something like that. It would be more like a carpool lane violation or speeding. Then they just add the tint if they're really anal.

I've got 5% all around on a NBP and never been stopped. It's hard to see at night AT FIRST, but you get used to it. But beware, if you get in an accident even if its not your fault, your tint may become a liability issue as the other driver may say that you were unlawfully hindered due to your excessive tint.

it's a car-drive it
it is your car- do what you want. in nc when you get your annual vehicle inspection you are charged an extra $35.00 if you have tinted windows. They measure the tint to make sure it is within the legal limits. If not they fail you. My windows have the tint they came with-good enough 4 me

In CA, its illegal to have any kind of tint on the front windows. Though I see all sorts of cars with tinted front windows here. Its just a crap shoot if a cop is going to pull you over for it or not. But when they do, they will give you a fix it ticket and you will have to pull it off to get the ticket signed off.
It also kills me when people post these questions AFTER the fact they already did what they did.

I just got a ticket and I live in CA. I have had tint on for less then one year on my TSX and 4 years on my Jetta that was super dark (not sure of the %). The cop who pulled me over was a total jerk.
