Just Bought A Tsx Yesterday!!!!

Whats up guys, Just purchased a new TSX yesterday from Rick Case Acura. I got it in the Pearl White, and Beige interior with black dash and woodgrain. I have to say This car looks AMAZING. Everyone who has seen it says the color combo looks awsome and makes it look classy and luxurious.

BTW I got it in a 6speed Manual Tranny, with the Navi. I got it for $27,100 out the door. Really negotiated and im happy. Im still getting the grip of the stick shift, since its been a while since ive driven a stick.

Any cool features of the car, i. e. storage spots, things u can to with the navi. or touch screen. Any and all help u guys can give will be helpful. PICS TO COME....

Did the dealer spend like a half hour or so showing you all the features and all when they handed the keys over? If they didn't, call up your dealer and ask them to.

He spent like 10 min, but i was so hyped about driving that baby off the lot i was like yeah i know i know. I had a 2001 Acura TL before this, and most the things were the same, the only thing i REALLY need to spend time on and learn is the navi. and any cool things the screen has.

its time to begine your mods, here are a few to start with:
1. Throttle Body Coolant Bypass (~$5.00) - keeps the TB cooler
2. Resonator Removal (FREE) - less restrictive airflow to the engine, deeper sound at WOT
3. Replacement HID Bulbs (~$100) - adds blue hue to your headlights. Can't see as much as with original bulbs.
4. Hondata Heatshield Intake Manifold Gasket (~$60) - lowers intake temperature. Adds 2-3% more power.
5. Comptech Short-Shifter (~$50) - quicker shifting response.
6. Interior LED Replacement (~$20 full set) - changes dome lights, map lights, and door lights to a color of your choosing.
7. M3 Lip Spoiler (unpainted for ~$40 at ebay) - tape lip spoiler on trunk for a sportier look. Will need to get it painted for about $100 before installation.
8. Paint Calipers (kit for ~$30 on ebay) - paint calipers for a sportier look.
9. DIY Grouding (best kit for ~$90 on ebay) - reduce the "noise" from electrical currents. Supposedly faster throttle response, smoother idles, power gain...
10. Comptech Rear Sway Bar ($~100 shipped) - improves handling and allows for more balanced turns.
11. Change from Dealer Plate Frames ($5.00 - $30.00) - adds "bling bling" factor if chrome or gold.
12. Debadging ($1.00 for floss) - adds a steathy look to your car. Also, people can't steal a badge that's not there.
13. AUX-Input ($100 for Soundgate and about $70 for the other one..) - allows you to plug in your MP3 player and play songs through your car's speakers. Requires a Ground Loop Isolator ($16 from Radio Shack) if one intends to charge the player while playing.
14. Change to K&N Air Filter (~$30) - supposedly less restrictive airflow than stock paper filter. Washable and can be reused.
15. Adding K&N Drycharger to CAI (free if you already have the Typhoon, $15 if you have Injen) - protects filter from sucking in water droplets. Does not work well if filter is totally submerged.
16. JTSo's Oil Catch Can Mod ($5 for the "L" pipe and small bottle) - catches denser oil and stops it from entering the throttle body. Allows for cleaner burns??????
17. Nissan 350ZX Cargo Net ($35 at Nissan Dealer) - easier to install and remove than the OEM cargo net and works the same.
18. All Weather Floor Mats (~$100) - protects original carpet floor mats from the elements. Fits quite perfectly but does not protect too well against globs of snow (ridges aren't deep enough).
19. Acura Gold Emblem ($70) - bling bling
20. Tail-light blackout from rockblocker (~$54.95) - like tinting your tail lights.
21. Bysin's Navi Screen Mod (FREE) - view his guide at https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21434
22. Headlight reflectors blackout ($10 for can of black paint)
23. RockBlocker Headlight Protection $44.95 - Available in yellow, smoked, blue or clear - prevents rocks chips from damaging or pitting your lights.
24. RockBlocker Door Edge Guards - $15.00 - Prevents damage to the edge of your doors. Ie children or passengers that dont care about what they open in too.

Performance Mods, cost estimate: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25877

I've had mine for about a month and a half already. Lots of fun and it gets even better after you break it in. Mine has about 1800 miles on it.

My first mods were some blue led's inside and by all means you need to replace the bulbs in the factory foglamps to some super brites. I got those for under $10 on ebay. Just make sure you get H11s and not H1s.

You'll see the difference between the stock and the replacement bulbs. It's a better match with the HIDs. They were listed on ebay as "Halo Xenon Plasma Blue" lights.

What are you guys hassling him about? He got a good price, but it's nothing unbelievable. I actually got my 5AT Navi for under 27K back in July - why would it be unreasonable for him to get a good price on an 05 now that the 06s are on their way?

And as for "out the door" - does your state collect taxes at the dealership? Here we don't pay tax on cars until we tag them. So "out the door" never implies "including tax" here.

WellChosen - congratulations! Forget about the mods that Zasker's shoving at you - your first order of business is to get out there and drive that thing! Second order of business is to Zaino it. Enjoy!

No it WASNT USED. Get off my dick.....its something called research, and negotiation. I called every dealer and got the lowest price took it to this dealer he either matched it or i walked. When he said he wasnt making any money i just mentioned his holdback, and the fact he's getting above invoice. Tints are going on ASAP. I feel naked driving the car. For all of you guys who gave me congradulations thankyou. for all the haters.....keep hating. P.S. i got the car with 12 miles on it.

How do you guys get these deals? The dealers in WA won't budge. Give me some pointers.
I have been going with non-nav. Will they deal more on the nav cars or something?

So how do you all like the nav, I have never used it, is it really worth the extra?
