Jdm Headlights

First let me apologize if this is in the wrong section.

But I've always wondered where I can get JDM headlights for 07TSX (not even sure older versions would fit :[ )

If you could please link me to websites where they sell them that are in the United States.

I also have a question regarding the JDM headlights. I read somewhere that it doesn't include a bulb for the side reflectors? Is this true? Cause I want to buy the headlights without worrying about doing something extra to it other than installing it. Thank you.

That is true. You can use the side bulbs from your OEM headlights, but those are amber bulbs, so it will look weird with the amber+blue. Most people just pick up white LEDs.

If you're gonna have amber lights coming out of the blue sides then might as well just keep it USDM since it will look that way at night anyway.

I have a pair of JDM headlights on the way but I wasnt sure if I needed to buy amber bulbs for the signals.

I bought some of these bad boys and they are perfect, you can't see them during the day but when you signal they are truly orange. They have been on my car for over a year and they work perfectly.

The OEM turn signal bulbs are clear, so you will definitely need to buy new amber bulbs. As stated above, the best types of bulbs for our apps are ones that look clear but shine amber.

The ones I use for my 06+ JDMs (which match the LED side mirror turn signals well) are these:

I've been using these for over a year without issue.

Yep, OEM is bulb is a clear 7440. I have been using a 24 LED Amber bulb for 2 years with no problems. Keep in mind that it needs a resistor installed on each bulb to keep it from blinking faster.

Wait wait wait, so I would have to open up the headlight (using heat, oven, etc), install the bulbs, and risk condensation? Why doesn't it come with factory bulbs?

No. You don't do any of that.

The bulb goes into it's corresponding socket. When you remove the headlights from your car, you should disconnect the park lights, high beams, etc.

You can either disconnect the harnesses or remove the bulb itself.

The HID system is contained onto the headlight, which you have to transfer over onto the new headlight.

Hope that's clear. You can check the FAQs and DIY section if you need further assistance.

I have 06-08 JDM lights.

I have 8000k blue turn bulbs. (PIAA Spark)
I have 8000k blue side bulbs. (PIAA Xtreme)
I have 8000k blue high beams.
I have 8500k blue HIDs. (Kaixen)

no trouble with the law yet.
my mirrors blink orange for turns, good enough for me.
I hate the look of orange or amber bulbs in my lights.

^^ you can see why.

I don't really have any other orange or amber going on there now do I...?

you know what Mr MMsTSX you still make me jealous.

I'm still pretty confused so does the JDM Headlights come with every bulb inside it and ready to replace as the OEM? And are they 4300k?

Hmm since I guess I would need to change the mirrors so they blink a different color than amber ?

my JDM lights came without bulbs.

I doubt you can find JDM lights that do come with bulbs.

they come empty.

Gotta take the bulbs from the OEM lights and put them into the
JDM ones.

that's why people are talking about using OEM bulbs with them.

You can find JDM lights that come with bulbs.

It's just that you will be paying ridiculous OEM/JDM prices for them and you don't need it because you already have it.

I hate amber lenses as well, but I like on my car that you don't see amber until it's lit and all signals are matching. (Front, mirrors, JDM rear)

If our tails were like the 2009, with a clear lens for the signal, I would have went all white LEDs and modified the mirrors just as WICKEDFX has, but they're not...

Is anybody using the OEM sidemarker bulbs with thier 06-08 JDM headlights?

Seems like all the 06-08 JDM headlights owners upgade to LEDs for thier sidemarkers. Im reluctant to go with LEDs because I dont want the sidemarker to glow in small concentrated areas, I want the entire housing to be lit.

Its hard to tell from pics, can anybody tell me if the LEDs illuminate the entire sidemarker or not?

I don't know why people do that, it's plain retarded. Amber looks way better than rice blue shit. At least get Silvania turn signals that look blue but light up amber.

although i do agree with the above post about amber looking better than blue blinkers, i don't agree with the harsh vocabulary. amber is the way to go, even for us young'ns

any ways, besides heeltoeauto, are there any other sites that sells 06+ jdm headlights? heeltoeauto told me theyre sold out on the jdm and sold out on the preorders also

And you think you are a bright one for running blue turn signals

Sorry for using such harsh vocab, but I'm just very passionate against ricey blue bulbs anywhere on the car.

It's not even issue with law, but rather with safety. You can't tell blue signal apart from blue headlights. Even if your mirrors are amber, they are not visible from every situation.

Well, not to add any additional commotion to this thread, but I'd have to agree with bozo and say that running non-amber turn signals is selfish and very dangerous for other drivers on the road.

If you don't want to see amber bulbs from the outside of your car, then do what I do with my JDM headlights and run the chrome amber bulbs I linked earlier. When you're driving you can't see them anyway, so what does it matter if they're flashing amber?

MMsTsX blue blinkers actually look pretty nice on his car considering the color of his car. But man DAYTA your avatar picture got me drooling.
