Ingalls Torque Dampner, worth IT??

Is the the Ingalls ETD worth it?? from those that have it, are there any problems or negative effects. Basically is it a worth while mod for me to do? and would there be a fitment issue with a supercharger? im thinking of supercharging sometime this summer and dont want there to be a conflict.

there's a fitment issue period.

the brackets don't line up and it tears the hood mat thingy.

it doesn't fit on our car. not without problems.

so no, it's not even close to worth it.

Try the J's racing damper. That goes on the subframe mount just under the headers. Be careful not to pinch the O2 sensor cable.

If you do decide on the Ingalls, I have one for sale in the Black Market section:
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-tsx-apexi-sri-intake-ingalls-etd-390350/

No interference / fitment issues, except some minor wear on the hood liner.

Unless I'm mistaken the Ingalls is the only ETD that fits the USDM chassis. Spoon, J's, etc only fit the JDM/Euro models...

A couple of people have made modifications to the ETD to get it to fit properly and they like the results. That includes grinding down the bracket to clear the ABS motor, and putting notches in the ETD bracket where the AC lines go (and, if applicable, notching the Cusco bar bracket to clear the AC lines as well). I'm considering doing something similar, but only down the line when I have money to play around with and have completed other more major modifications (pulleys and Hondata).

Man, if JTso made more of those, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. But AFAIK, he only made two (one for him and one for CCColts).

It's one thing if you're creating something from scratch, but I just don't understand how Ingalls could have F-ed up copying someone else's design ...

His was slightly different and he had 2 different versions. One similar to the JDM design and one like Ingalls' design. His design didn't interfer with the brake lines as much, but did require some additional bracing. None the less, Ingalls attempted based on what they thought was a standard design of the ABS manifold and they made a bad assumption.

Yeah, I haven't re-installed mine yet, brackets are still installed, just no dampener. I've considered selling mine as well and I definitely could notice the results of having it on, but a little too much with everything else I have installed (primarily the exhaust).
