Hi,

I just got my door trim guards from Downey Acura. They didn't have them when I bought my car and they are a bit far away so I just can't go down and have them installed. They mailed them to me. When I opened it up, there they were...4 door trim guards, a funky L shaped tool which I'm guessing is to help me install the trim guards, and no directions on how to install them.

I did a search on our TSX web site on trim guard installation. Can someone give me a step by step on how to install them without ruining my paint? If there's a thread, if you can direct me there, that would be cool.

DIY, it takes about 20 minutes tops. Be sure and have a rubber mallet on hand to help seat the trim. As far as the L-shaped tool, it is for removing paint on the inside of the doors. I skipped that step.

 

What colour are the guards? Same as the car?

 

Yes, same color as car.
