Im so pissed off right now....
Well, about two months ago i rear ended an f350....it didnt end well for my car. I ended up with quite a bit of damage, and my mugen grill was decimated. I decided since i was ordering a new mugen grill to order the front lip as well (correct me if im wrong, but i believe im the first person to get the 06 mugen lip in NBP). After waiting patiently for a month for the items to get in stock, i got a call from kingmotorsports saying the grill was on backorder, but the lip was in stock. I told them to ship out the lip, and i finally received it today. I opened the box like a kid getting his first christmas present. I looked it over, and realized that on the upper right hand side on the driver side fog light slot, there was a small gash from it being improperly shipped. Now i have no idea whether i should get a body shop to fix it, or wait another month for a replacement. Opinions anybody?

They should replace it for free in my opinion - but - then you're looking at waiting however many months it took to get the first one. It becomes a question of patience - if you are impatient you might want to try get a bodyshop to fix it.

Make a hole, coming thru!
You bought it, it's new, it's already damaged, make the vendor ship you a proper new part at no cost. And assure them that if they treat this cordially, you'll remain a happy customer. (Getting angry and irate and threatening out of the starting gate rarely works.)

I agree with tsxdriver. You bought it at full cost, "BRAND NEW". I expect all my products from vendors to be "BRAND NEW"
No exceptions to knowing a vendor in person, if it's new, I want my damn stuff new.
Send it back, get your replacement. I know the wait is long, but you need to get what you paid for. NEW.

hold on a second...isn't your car black? that lip is white...am i missing something here?
wouldn't you have to paint it black??
the scratch isn't all that big anyways...it should be fairly easy to fix with just some fresh paint...and if you are gonna paint it black it doen't matter obviously bacuaue you would have to paint it anyways.
getting them to replase it would be a hassle for both of you since you are gonna have to wait your ass off, and they might want to charge you for shipping atleast. Besides, you don't know if the next 1 they ship is gonna be perfect eather....if this 1 is perfect except for that 1 little thing...then keep it. What if the next one shows up cracked or deformed or sum shit?
if you have the nerve then deal with them...if you don't have the time then just forget about it it's not that bad at all..it cud be a lot worse.

Is waiting in
^^ I agree your going to have to paint it anyway. Just notify Kings about this and show the damage, and hopefully they discount something off the grill since this product wasn't immaculate.

I was thinkin' the same thing right when I saw the pics.
You're going to have to paint that thing black, and the scratch doesn't look deep.
So, get that sucker painted and installed already!

The problem is, the scratch isn't just a surface scratch, its actually pretty deep. I already notified King and UPS, and a guy is coming from UPS to inspect the damage on monday

Make a hole, coming thru!
If UPS damaged it in transit, that's an easy one for everyone. I've had carriers damage freight, and the repairs were paid for rather quickly.
