I'm baaaaAAAaaack

Sup guys----most of you do not know me so let me introduce myself.

I am Rene---from Houston---been a member of the boards for a little while but i never post!

I bought my first Acura back in 02--- a 94 Integra GSR Sedan

Bought my second Acura thereafter --- a 2000 3.2TL-P

unfortunately, the TL got totalled BADLY....so I decided to go BMW

I bought a 325ci last year---and---to say the least----driving a BMW is NOT all that it is cracked up to be.

Today I am selling the bimmer....and signing the papers tonight for....drumroll....

a CPO 2005 TSX 6-speed

Nighthawk Black with Ebony Black leather int.

I can't wait to drive it off the lot tonight! Been reading PLENTY on the K series engine since their introduction back in '02, and let me say---I am impressed, and I'm glad I can get back to my roots - FWD HONDA'S with VTEC

anyways, nice too see the TSX boards running --- i plan to post regularly!

Nice car and color combo.

Let us know what you think after driving it for a bit.

Welcome to the older side of the K-series world.

Sorry, but being a former DC2 owner myself, I've gotta say:

of the B18C swapped teg!

Coming from that car, I've got to say that it's much more every-day driver friendly than my old teg. It might not be as tossable, but definately less harsh and less kids wanting to race you.

Welcome back....been a e36 owner and a 98 4 door Teg LS owner. BMW maybe the ultimate driving machine, but I think Hondas/Acuras are just plain more fun to drive. Nimble and light on its feet as opposed to BMW's heavy-handed germanic approach.

One other thing you might notice being a fellow 4 door teg owner: the TSX chassis is eons better in turns than the 4 door teg. A very rigid structure. it'll make your old teg feel like it was put together with staples and crazy glue. Gotta agree with Black_6spd, this is a much better daily driver.

Compared to which setup you were running? All?

I remember the setup that had the strut-tower brace + H&R OE sport springs + Nitto Extremes.

Stock TSX + crappy michelins > 4 door teg + H&R + Nittos + OZ's + strut tower ?

Good Q. The setup I had was the everything you said + a set of KYB AGX (or GR2?? I forgot) shocks. That's a better suspension and wheel/tire setup I had on the my stock TSX setup right now, for sure.

I'm only referring to the chassis rigidity....the Teg was pretty floppy by today's standards. The TSX seems to be better at maintaining momentum in the turns, since the chassis is pretty rigid. Even with the Tegs better setup, the chassis wouldn't have the rigidity to let the suspension do its work as compared to the TSX.

yeah just by driving her last night i noticed the rigidity of the stucture---i love it!

i will admit that the bmw was stiffer with less bodyroll (becuase of my suspension mods) but with a little work, the tsx seems to have LOTS of potential.

and as far as the k24 goes---i cant wait to slap on IHE and Hondata

Damn, you owned some amazing rides! I love them all, eg, teg, tl, and e46. I actually like all of them and don't mind owning them...

your plan for the TSX sounds pretty sweet already. And your BM looks decently modded too, with that CSL trunk... you should post more pics of your rides dude!

hey thanks bro---i appreciate that comment---feels good to know somebody else appreciates the hard work put into my rides!

here's a few more of the old rides:

bone stock when i bought her:

and after:

i liked the bmw, but to be honest, unless you go with the 330 or m3 (mine was a 325), you're not getting the full potential for the mark---and bmw is expensive!

i did ALOT of research before i bought my tsx and i'm confident that this car will be up to par with the bimmer within the upcoming months---I LOVE DRIVING THIS THING!!!
