I think that's awesome man. I was trying to persuade my mom to trade in her maxima to get the TL, but she likes her car.

Did you guys all buy from the same dealership? If so, they better be kissing your feet for anything and everything.

Bought three Acuras from the same dealer as well:

2001 TL (Dad's)
2002 EL (Mom's, now my sister's)
2000 TL (mine, bought used, then sold)

Plus the ex-gf bought a 2000 EL from the same dealer as well.

Too bad the dealer experience was only so-so, but they were the only guys in town at the time. Now there's another dealer and we get all the service done there instead.

EL is essentially a top-line Civic sedan repackaged/rebadged as the smallest Acura sedan for the Canadian market only. It was 1.6 EL then now the 1.7 EL.

haha, who says incest? I may actually be more sick! Here goes...for one reason or another, I've found myself (and combined with my wife after married in '01) switching many cars (all brand new) in several short years (TSX is 6th car since '98).

'93 - '98 Tercel 3AT (drove it proudly during college days, haha; traded for next)
'98 - '00 Prelude 5MT (traded for next)
'00 - '01 1.6 EL 4AT (traded for next)
'01 - '04 325i 5MT (sold for buying house)
'02 - '03 1.7 EL 4AT (sold when wife got sick - serious stuff)
'03 - '05 RSX 5AT (wife leased after she recovered, then "traded" for next way before lease was up)
'05 - now TSX 6MT (this is gonna be kept for longer, as this one IS the one! )

5 Honda/Acura out of 7 cars so far... guess I am qualified as Honda/Acura freak

I started things off in my family.

2001 Acura Integra GSR (mine)
2003 Acura CL Type-S (Dad)
2005 Acura TSX (mine)

My dad is up for a new lease soon. So is my mom. My dad will probably get a TL and we have been trying to convince my mom to get a CRV or Pilot or TSX. (tried the CRV in 2003 and she didn't like it cause it had too little power)

We also have a Honda Lawnmower, Honda Snowblower, and Honda Leaf Blower.

there's absolutely nothing wrong with being an acura/honda family. in fact, it just means your family has better sense/taste than others.

dad: 02 crv
bro: 00 tl
bro-in-law: 04 tl
sister: 99 accord
me: 04 tsx
mom: trying to convince into getting an accord

You're not the first.

In one of the Acura Magazines, some family with an Integra, TSX, Vigor and MDX was featured in one of the articles. It was quite an interesting take, since all of them considered only Acura cars.

1998 Acura Integra <--brother
2004 Acura TSX <--me
2005 Acura TL <-- sister
1997 Honda Odyssey <-mom

Funny thing is, my sister is older, and my brother is younger. If we park side by side by side it would also show that !

Have really only had 2 cars, but prelude and TSX. I'm on my way. Looks like i'm gonna stick with Acura for a while. As long as they make some good moves in the future.

I bought a 2004 TL in May . . . I love it and came from a Maxima.
Virtualbong, tell your mother the TL is much nicer than Maxima . . .
My husband was driving 2002 RSX-s which he totaled 3 weeks ago.
We are now buying 2005 TSX for him.

We are an Acura family also!

not boring for me, i like almost every model that acura has made. besides, quality is important!

my family has always been with honda and since we moved to the states, we've jumped to acuras. just loved them, never a single problem (knock on wood).
91 integra gs
96 integra gs-r
03 mdx
05 rl (almost went with bmw 530i but acura won again)

and my sis has 01mdx and 97cl.
definitely acura freaks!

It's an Acura publication that I think Acura owners are automatically subscribed to at no cost. Though it's designed to be more like a lifestyle mag than a car mag, and of course any car they talk about is Acura (maybe some bit and pieces of Honda R&D, F1, etc. news).

My family as well. I bought a TSX a year and a half ago, 6 months later my dad was so impressed with the build quality that he traded in his 03 M3 Roadster for a brand new A-Spec TL. A few months after that, they traded in my mom's Highlander for an MDX.
