Unfortunately I discovered this sensitivity at the wrong time.

I was pulled over for enthusiastic driving and the officer parked the cruiser on the right side of the car. After he collected my license and registration he proceeded to check out my record in his car. Well, left to my own devices waiting for him to write up a ticket (it took a few minutes) I noticed a smudge on the Acura logo on the horn. Tried to wipe it off and with a slight rub off went the horn.

The officer looked at me like I was crazy. All I could do was shrug.

haha yea seriously. If you had heard the stock horns on Honda's a few years back. You will think "man, what a wimpy horn"

This is the sound that most people want.

I llke the horn has a little @$$ to it. It is a lot better than some of the little turd horns that they use to put in Japanese cars

The only issue I have with the horn is the placement on the steering wheel. I can't tell you how many times I accidentally hit the steering wheel and the horn goes off. Its so sensitive.

LOL, I just commented on the sensitivity of the horn in another thread, LOL

When I'm sitting at a red light and I want to change a cd, I put my cd case on my lap. Everytime I've done this, the horn goes off and the person in front of me lurches a little bit thinking that its a green light, LOL

UPDATE: 1.5 years later.

I dont hit the horn anymore. Its not a problem. However it would be nice if it wasnt so sensitive because I like to play drums on my steering wheel.

I never had this problem with any previous car I drove. But I hit the horn by accident yesterday (wasn't the first time) while changing the volume on the steering wheel. I usually feel stupid if other cars are around

The horn scared the shit out of me when I locked myself in with the remote and when I tried to exit out of the vehicle, the alarm horn blasted!

Did that a couple of times.

Talk about thread resurrection! But funny thread, glad to know I'm not the only one who's honked by accident.

I first found out how sensitive the horn is when I leaned my hand over it (ready to honk because there was another driver swerving in the next lane in front of me like he wasn't paying attention to the road). After I passed him, I rested my hand a little as I came up to a huge group of big biker dudes on their Harleys, and of course that's when I honked by accident. Of course, my first reaction was "Who the hell's honking!?" but I quickly realized it was coming from me.

On the Accords, you had to really slam down on the horn to get a bleating-lamb-sound out of it, and I liked the two button horn on my previous car (Civic) because it was hard to honk by accident. But glad to know when you need to honk quickly, it's easy on this car.

Talk about timing though... Glad they didn't corner me with their hogs though, there were hundreds of them I think my mouth forming the word "OOPS!" tipped them off.

I do that a lot cause of my drummer's twitch (i actually play, don't know if you do) but just keep it to the top of the wheel and it never goes off.

Did the sound from pressing lock twice used to be the horn though? Now it's just a nice beep.

What I hate is when I'm cleaning the inside of my car. I can't even wipe the steering wheel without the car honking. It's literally so sensitive...I bet if I were to put an empty folder/binder on my lap and then let it fall on the steering wheel, it'd honk.

The good thing though is that it's easy to honk when necessary. On my accord, I have to fish for the button since my steering wheel might be at an angle. The bad thing is that my family can reach over and hit the horn

I scare myself at least once a week while getting out of the car when my laptop bag hits the horn. Of course this happens while I'm in the garage so its that much louder!
