Hit a nerve, no need to bash the Accord.

 

There are all-motor setups pushing close to 300hp. A street-tuned 240whp can be had with a good cam setup + LT header + Kpro. Shaang's car almost hits that with just a simple race header and reflash.

Please see what the K24A2's are making. Please do some research before saying crap like "in your dreams."

If you're talking with a straight reflash w/o tuning + more boost, then yeah, 270 whp might not be reached. But when you say in the context of "dreaming" it's implied that you're thinking "impossible." Guys with k24's are surpassing the 270 mark with ease these days.

It just responds to tuning / mods well. To say otherwise would be foolish.

Bias aside, have you seriously considered just trading in your TSX for one? Over here in SoCal, I haven't had the opportunity to see a 6MT Accord in person since 99.999% of them will be auto.

If you're ahead on your loan or have the TSX paid off, what's stopping you from getting your dream car? What are we talking monthly-payment wise? Equal? $40 more?

 

Being a former owner of 2003 accord and a current owner of a 2005 NBP TSX, I believe I have say in this matter. The primary reason I traded in my accord was its family car reputation. Whenever somebody asked what kind of car I was driving, the accord answer did not seem to get any interested response. Nowadays, I would just reply, " I drive an acura" and they immediately would immediately show interest. I am not into status or anything but I am a car nut who likes to be appreciated for my whip.
Don't get me wrong..the accord was an excellent car with interior style and amenities almost equal to the TSX. My wife drives a 2004 A4 cabriolet and she never commented on how nice the interior of the accord was. When I first gave her a ride in my TSX she was really impressed with the black interior accented by aluminum.
The accord also had a sporty feel to its suspension but it will not compare to the TSX in the handling department. In the looks department, fellow motorists never checked me out in the accord but the TSX would get a second look. Also, chicks dig the TSX's interior and exterior as evidenced by my women friends repeated requests for test drives. My accord never elicited the same response from them.
About the power deficit of the TSX, believe it or not, I do not miss the acceleration of the accord. I have the icebox and DC header which compensates for the power. Yeah, 240 HP is better than 215 hp or so but whenever I close out corners with such confidence and bravado, the 240 hp becomes mute. I also have a comptech RSB running on awesome Toyo T-1R's which enables my TSX to devour corners. I believe even with these add-ons to the accord, it will never perform the same way.

My step-mom just purchased a new V6 Accord to haul around my baby sister. I think I made my ->.<- why I don't own one.

In response to the original post in this thread; yes, it would be nice if the TSX came from the factory with a faster engine. I would have paid more for the TSX.

This accord is awesome looking but I am sure there are motorists out there asking why mod a family car. I prefer not to answer such questions.

 

It's about 245whp with the s/c and i/h/e; which will smoke the accord so bad, i don't even want to think about it. That's about 290BHP.

I would luv to see an Accord try to race me. Accords are a nice value but I don't think the sedans are attractive at all. I do like the looks of the coupe though.

hahaha you guys are hilarious. Simple facts, I know its hard for you hardheads to accept the simple facts but here it is:
1. Some of you said "oh yeah ill swap s2000 engine and CT S/C it and ill smoke Accords all day long" Oh yeah? If I swapped J32 6spd in my car and Supercharged it I'll be smoking your ass all day long. So don't be cocky, stock to stock your tsx blows at performance.

2. Yeah your tsx sucks in the power department, admit it. But I will also admit that TSXs are far more superior in handling department and luxury. You've got those. But don't bag on other cars because you have somethings that they dont, kuz in the end you dont have some things that they do.

3. I'm surprised some of you are such morons that don't even know Honda and Accura are the same god damned thing. Did you know where your car's from (japan) they put the honda emblem on your cars because Acura doesn't exist? Your cars are called Accord for that matter HAHA.

4. Also shame on some of you for bagging on the accord then turning around and putting Honda and accord badge on your car and calling it JDM. JDM my ass.

To the OP: please trade in your TSX on an Accord - you obviously can't appreciate the finer qualities of the TSX. I've driven both the 7G Accord, and the TSX, and as an S2000 owner, I'd take the TSX over the plain jane Accord anyday of the week.

the tsx is a JDM vehicle...it's 100% made in japan and shipped here...so i'd suggest you shut the fuck up and get your facts right before spittin off...
