I went to look at a TSX
I was at a acura dealership here in so cali and one of the salesmen said to me that I should put a down payment on the car I wanted now *Black/Black 6 spd w/Navi* because 1) its selling fast and once they sell 15000 they might not sell any more.. 2) there are not as much 6 spd's and 3) counting the fact that i want black on black w/ a navi he said that combo might be hard to find in a month or two.. what do you guys think? am i worrying for nothing?

I think your salesman is putting a little too much pressure to buy. Go elsewhere and see what other dealerships tell you. I don't think they'll stop selling once they get to 15 000. Black/Black 6MT should not be problem to get. I can't stand salespeople who pressure potential clients like that. Very unprofessional.

Stryker is right. Why on earth would they stop selling cars after 15k? 15k is the estimated number sold this year, not the limit. Your salesman is just applying high-pressure sales tactics.

just to let you know... i have a black/black/6mt/navi. so its out there... i prolly looked around for 2 months before my baby arrived.
i also suggest you go to a different dealer. i'm assuming you went to van nuys keyes (horrible... the worst dealer in so-cali you can go to). try going to calabasas, valencia, downey, weir canyon (anaheim - and where i got my car)... these are all recommened by the forum.
another suggestion: call every single dealer in so-cali (using the internet manager) and see if they have an incoming black/black/6mt/navi that isn't accounted for yet. (incoming as in the dealer has the vin number). if you find one, tell them you want to buy it for $x and you'll put a deposit on it over the phone if they can guarantee that price.
i guess i got pretty lucky... i called almost every dealer in so-cali and weir canyon had one coming w/in 2 weeks that wasn't accounted for except by me.

word, what ebcheon said. Keyes is a pretty shitty dealer. They sa there is no markup on the car then they try and pull a fast one hidden in the paperwork.
Santa Monica acura was good to me, try them too.

When the S2000 was about to be introduced, Honda told the everybody that they were only importing about 5000 units to the US. I bought mine in April of 2000 and it was number 6656 (the VIN numbers for each region have their own series).
Some dealers went as far to say that Honda was only going to make 5000 S2000s and then stop production (which doesn't make a lot of sense considering engineering and manufacturing costs).

thanks for the replies guys!.. i know its there, but im sure it may be hard finding that exact combo that i want. BTW i went to cerritos acura.. the salesman did seem like he wanted me to put a deposit down right away right that minute since he asked me like 3 times... and to make things worse he said there is no dealer willing to go 500 under msrp., he said the lowest he had ever went was 200 under msrp.. i respect that, because the tsx is worth its msrp price, however that was just a straight lie. I told him there are other dealerships such as weir canyon or downey that have offered over 1000 under msrp... he didnt really know what to say.. soo i said thanks anyways and left..hehe

I just got an email from Weir saying they just got 3 in stock (no black, but 2 SSM and 1 CG). Even tho they've got great pricing, they keep running out of inventory, so I went elsewhere. If you're a Costco member, also try Thomas Acura in West Covina. They wouldn't quote verbally, but I think they'll come close to the other dealers. Unfortunately the larger dealers (Keyes and Cerritos) have all the inventory but only selling at MSRP.
