I really don't understand

As I was driving home from work tonight on hwy 404 north (in Toronto) traveling at around 120km, this Protage 5 decides to tailgate me. So I move over to the slower lane and kept driving. What does this smart ass do? Follows me. Now, on hwy 404 there are 4 lanes and I was traveling on the inner lane and the other 3 lanes are EMPTY. So I'm guessing this smart ass wants to race me. Of course I'm not dumb enough to street race so I just kept driving. But what happens right when I got off the highway? A RICED out RSX does the same thing, tailgates me and trying to get me to race.
I really don't understand why would anyone want to race me? Does my 4 door family sedan look like it's going to race everything that moves? I was just minding my own business going home from work sigh. It's no wonder why Toronto's insurance is crazy high!!

P.S. Same thing happened last week but that time, it was a Firebird who wanted to race.
WTF MAN!!!

Some people want to race, others just want to be jerks.

Personally, I just surprise them by quickly switching into the empty lane, hitting the brakes and sliding in behind them. Usually, they go away after that.

What's wrong with me forcing them to pass me?

It's not like I tailgate them in return. I just slip into an empty lane and brake, causing them to pass me and then I continue on my way, driving just as I was before.

Not sure if this guy wanted to race me, but I was going into my neighborhood and a brand new bright red Audi S4 is in front of me. I am following at a safe distance minding my own business. Next thing you know he pulls off to the side, and I pass him. Then he pulls out and starts following me. In fact he started following me all over the neighborhood (I decided to see what he was up to). Finally, I lose him. I get home and go to get the mail and there he is driving by looking around. I doubt he wanted to race, but he sure wanted to get a good look at my car (or something). Kind of wacked out.

He probably did just want to get a good look at your car. It's one thing to pull up next to, it's another to tailgate. I've pulled up next to a Bentley Continental GT so I could shoot some pictures, but I would never have tailgated him. Besides, you can't really get a good look at the car 3 inches from the bumper.

I'll start by getting me some Photgraphy courses, right now I can't even use my Kodak to it's full potential. Also note that the 7590 is one that has a "super-zoom", and they fared actually better than average...

But yeah, there's no denying if I had been better counselled I might have looked elsewhere...

Sauce, I was only kidding. Believe me when tell you I know very little about photography myself and know even less about the competition. That article from PC mag I posted the other day was a surprise to me as well although I did know Canon has the most market share when it comes to cameras.

And I was not surprised to see it. Ever since I bought the Kodak I'm getting told by everyone, you should have bought a Canon, it's the best in quality, etc. etc.

And being the quality freak that I am, Canon is on top of my list for the next purchase, but I really need to get myself a tripod and start learning how to use it efficiently, because boy can it do a lot of things!

personally at that point i would let off the gas completely. and at somepoint hell get p.oed and just fly off real quick, then as u resume your trip look out for him pulled over if ure in a cop populated area.

see i just love how people with slow cars pull up to me and want to race. altough, in ure case they dont seem to be all that slow, unless they just stuck stickers on the car. but yah cars like cavlieers, and anything else that looks like its gunna fall apart, i dont even take them on, im too buisy laughing at thier stupidity to race. but i guess im a cause of thier rage when i sit there making them think ill take em and then not even start.

pffttt....tho at times i do get a bit overboard and take them on, as long as i know i wont have that much of a problem ripping them.
