I don't have Navi. I enter my refuel data into a program I keep on my Sony Clie. The mileage is calculated by the program.

oh, and all my mileage is using 91 octane.

dealer told me to use 87

when i bought my 04 tsx, the fleet manager told me that it can use either 87 or 91 safely and the diffenece in performance will not be noticable. He said that premium in reccommended in the manual as part of Acura's way to make feel like your car is that much better and high end thus requiring inly premium fuel.

I calculate from full tank filling.

BTW, why are you using the cruise control when you are still in your break-in period? You're meant to vary your engine RPM.

If you follow the "official" break-in guide here, you know it is not a good idea to use cruise control during the first 600 miles.

I calculate MPG number by myself using Excel, based on gasoline used and odometer readings. It has been known that the car computer overestimate MPG by approximately 3.

36mpg cruising at 70mph sounds about right. i cruised at 65 one day for a 240 mile trip and average 38.5 mpg, haven't been able to reproduce that though, and don't remember if i was dragging behind more cars that day.

anytime i have mixed driving, the average settles in around 24-26mpg. you should calc it by hand, it's usually a minor difference of 1-2mpg than what the navi computed.

To answer a few questions here . . .
Yes, I bought my '05 navi used from the dealer. it was the show room model. I acutally got a good deal on it cuz i have a friend who works in the accounting division and knows the managment well. The car was a "show" car driven around town by the managment and i know that the dealer uses 87 in their cars most of the time. So i guess it would be safe to say that the car was broken in on 87 gas thus the better mileage on that one. If i drive strictly highway im normally getting between 33-35 the whole way, (i reached a peak of 35.7 once). and around town my average is also between 24-26. I dont think we have 91 around here but im going to look for it. How would i go about "re-training" my car's ecu?
I use the on screen trip computer my navi offers for the gas mileage by the way. I think im going to try and fill with 89 gas next if i cant find a 91.
Oh and one more think, i think i do notice a slight difference in acceleration when i put the pedal all the way down.

no need for retraining. The ECU will adjust iteslf to the higher octane gas. I would expect better mileage after a tank or so.
