I picked up my TSX finally
It's the greatest car I've ever driven. My friends were in a frenzy when they saw it. It's in perfect condition and doesn't have any rattles, clunks, grinds, nicks, scratches, or dents...yet (knock on wood).
It's very difficult to describe why I think the TSX is the greatest car I've ever driven, but I think it has to do with engineering. This car is so flawless and smooth. When you turn, when you operate the sunroof, when you flip the switchgear, when you look at the instrument panel, when you hear nothing but the purr of the engine, it reaffirms your puchase and invigorates your soul.
If you are a person undecided on a stick or auto, you must buy the stick. It is perhaps my favorite feature of the car. To go snickety snick through all the gears reminds me what I've missed from my 1997 Prelude. But this car is very different. It's much more solid and precise.
There have been two interior items with questions: the navigation system and the stereo. First, let me say the navigation system is the greatest tool being offered in cars today. It is a map, organizer, voice controller, locator, and yellow pages, and it's value is immeasurable. Secondly, this stereo system is the best I've ever had. I played with it last night and it can handle both bass and highs. I doubt it's anywhere near the best stereo in a production car, but it is more than competent and I couldn't be happier with it's output.
Thanks to all those that have helped me with advice and feedback. Also, thanks to Wiz for the pics of his car, because if it wasn't for those pics I may not have gone with the quartz interior, which is the classiest interior of the bunch.

Congrats Jason!
ahh...you're in sync with your TSX...a couple of hundred words per minute...LOL
Everytime I read another member getting their car, it refreshes the memories of when I picked up mine. So satisfying and gratifying...

Congrat-u-dittly-lations, Jason.
Your comments are dead-on. Especially about the shifting. I'm amazed daily by its solid crispness. That "ka-KOOLNK" sound is the best music you can hear in this thing.
Enjoy.

Congrats, Jason! Having gotten my car just 48 hours ago, I am still as exhilarated as you must be right now. I've put 300 miles on the car already since I got it. I just can't stop driving it!
Agree totally with your comments about the Navi. And the new car smell is awesome!

I don't even have my TSX yet, but I know how I will feel when I spot that first parking lot ding!

Are you ready to change your mind on "Best Car Up To $80K"?

Thanks for all the comments guys. And to you ebony interior owners, I think your interior is the sexiest of the bunch.

I looked hard at the repair job and I thought it was pretty shitty. The hood was ok but the front bumper looked horrible. There were sizable gaps below the headlights and the bumper ends (seen from the sides of the car) extended about a quarter inch into the wheel area. I thought I was dead. I figured my already deflated trade-in value would sink further.
To my delight, they didn't even look over my car, let alone drive it. They didn't blink an eye and nobody said a word. It felt like the Twilight Zone. I was so nervous when we put the numbers together, I felt as though they would pull the rug out at any minute. I got done with the finance guy in about 15 minutes, and then the salesman tried to show me some things. I ended up showing him some things, and then they let me go. Goodbye CL-S, you were a great car!
I got the full value I negotiated in May, $13,500 for a piece of SHIT CL-S with a tranny that's about to go and a front right tire that loses air. Coupled with my THREE accidents and the latest hack job, I'm lucky they didn't break my legs. Long live Continental Acura! BTW, I have changed my driving habits after this last accident. I will NOT crash the TSX. I will NOT crash the TSX. I will NOT crash the TSX...

I was starting to think I wouldn't have the TSX for the big meet. All good now.
