---for the company's #s the camry is #1--- but ONLY beacuse of fleet sales...

friggin japanese buick does NOT deserve any recognition as a vehicle that can compete witht he dynamics and great value of the accord...

sackriding? yes... but its warranted.

BTW, what is "fleet sales"? Why would it cheapen the resale value?

Fleet sales=airport rentals, government cars, police cars, fbi cars, company cars.

If Acura products were avaible for rent I wouldnt buy one just rent one and get your kicks out of it that way. Run over speed bumps, try for 0 to 60 in 5 seconds etc.

Its hurts the upscale brand image of a maker to let any joe with a credit card and 40 bucks rent their product.

The Mazdaspeed6 fits me perfectly. The driving position, size, and overall roominess felt just right. I really wanted to like this car. Unfortunately, the car requires 93 octane gas to get its full performance. In California, the highest octane available is 91 octane. This results in super lame performance.

I'd rather have a car like the Accord V6 which can extract very strong performance from 87 octane gas than the Mazdaspeed6 which can barely give you the same performance only under the most optimal conditions.

A perusal of the Mazdaspeed6 boards shows people having all sorts of sub-par performance issues. Additionally, in R&T's test of the Mazdaspeed6, it ran 0-60 in 5.9 but hit the 1/4 mile in 14.8 at *86.4 mph*. This is due to the car massively cutting boost beyond 5500 rpm when run on anything less than 93 octane gas.

MTX is a speaker..I love the V6 MT Accord Coupe, especially in red with the gunmetal silver stars and OEM kit. The power is not far behind the TL-S or 3G TL at all. A V6 manual will be right at the front doors of the TL-S, but won't catch a 6spd CL-6. The TSX is the superior handling vehicle in the Acura/Honda line, but nothing a set of springs and sway bars can't fix.

calgary, you can post pics and host from V6P's gallery. Follow Platano's link.

I remember 6mt's available in Canada. I think with the conversion it comes out cheaper but the cost to bring it over wasn't worth it.

BTW, I like the 06 sedan tails more than the 03-05. The rear for the 03-05 seemed like it didn't finish right with the weird trunklid shape.

The Accord V6 6-spd did it in 5.9 sec also...on regular. That must be an awesome sleeper.

And I always thought the S2000 and NSX were the best handling Hondas.

Seriously -- this is ofen the misperception about handling. You see, handling goes wayyy beyond lateral g's, spring stiffness, and sway bars. Weight distribution, body roll, chassis rigidity, etc are factors that many of the "big-seadan" advocates overlook when comparing about overall handling.

In other words, you can't turn a boat into an auto-x machine by simply slapping on some springs and a sway bar.

According to the data on Edmunds, the Accord V6 weighs only 114 lbs more than the TSX (3371 lbs vs 3257 lbs).

Anyway, the skidpad ratings on the TSX are hardly anything to write home about, although slighly better than the Accord Sedan. (I read the Coupe got 0.88g though. )

Weight distribution is something than can be changed through stripping and "slapping" on parts. Stiff spring and sway bars directly effect chassis rigidity and body roll. That's why they get put on. Although short of a complete strip and rebuild these things can only help, not always "fix".
