I fit a tree in my TSX

yes, yes, I know - this thread is worthless without pics.
But it still amazes me how much stuff you can fit into the TSX. I bought a 12-13 ft oak tree on the weekend. The whole thing fit through the 60/40 and into the front passenger seat area. Everytime I think I need a bigger car, the TSX steps up to the plate!

Did you lay it down or fit it through the sunroof?

i've lugged 3 8' xmas trees on my car last december, with the seats fold down - 2 trees thru the trunk, and one standing thru the moonroof.

and i made my cousin laid down next to the trees. ps, and i went over potholes on purpose

ya, I know, the thought of taking some pics did cross my mind. They wrapped the branches tightly with plastic wrap. The base/pot (about 16 inches in diameter) was in the car trunk. The tree trunk was passed through the 60/40 split, and the branches-crown of the tree occupied the back seat to the front passenger side dash. It was quite a scene really. Anyway, I got home from the tree nursery and told my wife to go out and look at the tree I bought. She looks out the window at the car and asks "What tree? Where is it?"

Why would someone try this? Well, I don't know about the OP of this thread, but the TSX is our only car, so if we need to haul something we always try to fit it in the TSX first.

The TSX is typical Honda design - subtle. Like my '85 Prelude, the TSX can fit a tremendous amount of everyday stuff... usually more than what it looks like can fit. With patience and thought, all sorts of things can be crammed into the trunk and/or back seat. I do wish the pass-through was at least a couple inches wider, however.

Heck, I've hauled 5 or 6 bags 3 of dirt (3 cubic feet per bag) plus several garden stones in the trunk. I've fit a baby crib box laterally across the back seat. Etc.

I dont doubt the tree fit in there. I too am often amazed at what can fit inside if you try hard enough. The trunk on the TSX is like a magic box, you can fit way more in than it looks like it holds. But putting a tree inside, I'd be worried about scratching or tearing the leather, or god forbid denting or scratching the paint outside while trying to get the damn thing in/out. lol You have to be very brave, or very confident to put a tree in there!
