so lets get this straight. You're "usually against" insurance fraud, especially when your friends tried to commit insurance fraud. But... when it benefits YOU.. you're okay with it.

Here's the thing. THe comptech icebox uses the stock bottom half of the airbox which contains vents for just this reason. The only way to suck up water through the snorkel is to have those vents submerged meaning the same thing woudl have happened if he had the stock box on.

I completely agree. Insurance has to cover this whether or not the intake was there. There's already electrical damage so that alone can cost a lot.
