How's this?
$27,100 on a new - never been test driven TSX with navigation system (no accessories or anything). Black, automatic transmission, black leather.
Is that a good deal? The documentation fee was $45, but they charged a $5 tire discarding fee, which is measly to whine about, but something I'd never heard of. Tax was around $2,200 - the total out the door price was $29,620. Is that a good deal for a TSX with navigation? Just wondering. Thanks.

The dealership was Acura of Pasadena on Colorado Boulevard (street used for The Tournament of Roses Parade). They had about 5 TSX's, two with manual transmissions. The one we put a down payment for yesterday was still on the road heading towards the dealership - it wasn't in stock, but I should expect it to arrive sometime in the next week, then they'll give us a call.
We first asked for a quote over the internet, and we got a reply of $27,700 (the window sticker price was around $29,900+). But we were able to have our salesperson go into his manger's office with $27,000 as our asking price, and he came back with around $27,300, we then bumped it up a little to $27,100 - he came back with $27,112 and my mother - joking around, says why the $12? Why don't you just make it a flat $27,000? And our salesman actually comes back with $27,000 "I did it for you." It was hilarious. But I was certain we could have bargained the price a little bit lower. It seemed as if another 100 off the 27,000 could have been done if we stayed a little longer and persisted.
The whole process in negotiating took less than 35 minutes altogether- which was a relief. But I had been to the dealership about 3 times previously and supposedly the manager saw this and knew we were serious to buy. We had also test driven it at that dealership at one of those visits.

Wow! Congratulations! I have the exact same TSX (Black on black, 5AT with Navi). It's a real beauty and you will absolutely love it! Every time I wonder if I should have got a TL instead, I just look at my TSX and I am in love all over again... :-)
And yes, your price is super! Wonderful deal - well done!

Just great. Well, the car hasn't arrived at the dealership yet and they still have our down payment of about $1,500. But then this afternoon, another dealership (I don't know which one) gave my dad a price quote for the same car at $26,700 - yeah navigation system and all. It's about $400 off the other dealership's final bargain price. Don't know what to think of it. Could save half a thousand, but don't know what this dealer has up their sleeves if we enter the dealership to actually work out the numbers...
chrisli, if you're worried about the dealer pulling shit, just request that they give you everything in writing. Make sure the salesperson signs it too. Then, you can try to get the first dealer to try to match the price. Also, visit the second dealership and see if you can work something out. If it doesn't look sketch, you may have saved even more money.

If this is true then its the largest discount I've seen ANYWHERE on a TSX. Good luck and hope you get it.
Well, the car was supposed to have arrived around March 23, but the dealership called a few days ago and said that the car would not arrive until April 20th. It's being shipped from overseas - exactly from where, I do not know. The car I'm expecting is an AT and I'm thinking this has something to do with the issue of the transmission case leaking? Anybody know if this is it? I'm anxious to hear about if this is a possibility - not just a holdup on the ocean
Thanks.
Apparently, they did not happen to mention all of the accessories that were installed by them (dealership). Other stuff like that which would have worked its way up to a price tag higher than our current dealership's.
Thanks.
