How to take apart Headlights

Hey everyone, im going to try to take apart my 05 tsx and spray tint the orange diffuser somtime soon. Anyone have a step by step guide on how to remove the headlight? Ive already have experience on doing this process on other cars (accord 04, legacy GT) but dont want to screw up on my own car. also thinking of tinting the turn signal black inside the headlight also

05 tsx black/black

If you searched for the term "headlight" you would have found this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ight=headlight

In post #4 of that thread moda_way has a link to his cardomain site where he has pictures posted on how he did his. Here is the link: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/389638/7

Not to be a party pooper, but I just did some searching as well and I can't find a DIY (or instructions) for headlight removal. Yes, theres lots of good info on baking the headlights and tinting the reflectors, but how to actually get them out? I couldn't find it.

I'm now in the boat too. I need to remove my busted passenger side headlight so I can check out something the body shop did to my car (this is me not happy with the work...) They say my new bumper doesn't quite match up because the busted passenger headlight is pushing it outward. I didn't have them replace the light since I've ordered jdm lights.

Anyway, a more informative link, or removal method would greatly help me as well as the OP. Thanks if I'm missing it.

get the helm's, it's worth every cent. to remove the headlights, remove the bumper, remove the radiator trim, remove the 3 to 4 bolts screws holding the headlight and bracket in, that's it. the hardest part is removing the bumper for sure

Wow, see, I had no idea it was that involved.

And I really would buy a Helms, but there isn't one for the 06 yet. I can't justify buying the 04 manual, as I keep hoping the 06 will come out soon.

Your shop's answer about the broken headlight messing up the bumper alignment is probably correct. The bumper snaps into the bracket attached underneath the headlight. if this bracket is bent, then the bumper will attach wrong/low. your new headlight wont come w/ this bracket however I believe, so you'll probably need to order one if it is indeed the problem
