How to rev engine from under hood?

You can't even if you could. The rev limiter is at 4K when in neutral or I guess park for autos. So you never could ge to Vtec range even if you could manipulate the Throttle Body. Sorry

step 1- remove hood
step 2- have someone drive your car
step 3-open sun roof
step 4- climb through sun roof on too front of car
step 5- listen to reving engine

you can rev the engine under the hood. the throttle body linkage is out in the open, but you will not be able to hear vtec. instead you will hear the sound of your car cutting fuel off to the car @ 4k

The TSX has DBW so no direct linkage on the TB. However, you still can rev the engine by removing the Accelerator Position Sensor cover on the firewall and rotate the cam.
