Speed Demon

Just wondering if my street/neighborhood, constructed in 2001, should be programmed into the current Navi version. Anybody know when the next DVD update/upgrade is expected?

It depends where you live. If your city is detailed mapped, then your community will be there. If you live in podunk SW PA, then no.

The latest date on the DVD is Sept 25, 2002.

However, here in Columbus, OH we have an interbelt (I-670) addition that happened over 15 months ago and it isn't on the DVD.

But as Jason said, it depends entirely on where you live. If it is a major city, then maybe.

My dealer told me new DVDs were due every year or two. I forgot exactly, but I remember thinking that I would personally buy one every two years. He quoted about $180 per update, if you want it.

dont believe their bullshit on how often the dvd's come out.

its supposed to be every fall....


but they havent released a significant update to the CL/TL nav since the cars came out.

there hasnt been even a revision in over 2 years

Well if your only worry is your neighborhood then I wouldn;t worry at all. It will at least get you extremely close and if you can't take over from a few blocks away I recomend you walk around as you should know the are where you live.

George: Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll let my NAVI surprise me when I drive my TSX home for the first time. If I see a MSM TSX in Columbus, I'll be sure to honk (I have relatives in Dayton and Columbus, and I visit them often.)

Speed, if you want to have a mini TSX meet the next time you drive thru Columbus let me know. I am just off of I-70 right after you pass I-270 on the west side of Columbus.

I don't know how recent the Navi is, but I sure know that the street where my company is on isn't in the Navi. The street was opend for traffic in early part of last year, and my company moved to this new location back in January 2001 where our neighboring buildings were....hmm....just land.

Also, my friend's place isn't on the Navi. It's a new development in Moorpark, CA. His house is only 1 year old.
