Do you:

1. Park your car far and hope no one parks next to you?
2. If some car parks next to you, after you come back to your car, do you inspect both sides to see if there were no dings and dents?
3. Even if there is parking closeby, you refuse to park there and decide to park really far, even if its raining or windy outside?
4. Wax your baby a lot and have thoughts which license plate frame would look nice? (That's my dilemma right now). :P

I never park next to a Minivan or SUV either.

Yesterday I went to Canadian Tire and I saw this Excursion attempt parking. Turns out it was a soccer mom driving the thing. Took 5 adjustments to get it straight and it still stuck out of the spot by 4 feet. Why anyone needs a truck that big is beyond me. If I see one of those things parked next to my car, I'll do a triple check.

Not only do I do all of those things, but I cant stop cleaning the thing.

I find myself unexplainably cleaning the glass, the wheels, the interior with a swiffer cloth, the seats with protectant, vacuuming the rugs, armor-alling the tires, I think I may have a problem....

I'll take the first 3 with the addition of wiping down the interior door handles, wiping down the all weather mats, etc numerous times throughout the day. :'(

If I can't find a parking spot that's comfortable for my TSX, I'll change my plans or come back later. Even if I find one of my favorite end spots, I'll note the make/model/license of the car next to me, in case they do the unthinkable. This is normal car owner behavior right?

Yes to all. I had mine since the end of Dec. It was out once on a nice day but it started to snow in the afternoon. As of today, that was the only storm it encountered. It is garaged and does not go out when there is a chance of snow or rain.

I wonder how people can stand the stone chip at their hood! I don't have any right now (cross my-finger) but I think I will cry if I see a big one) and I will get a professional to do the touch-up paint for me.

sometimes I drop people off so they dont have to walk the 1/2 a mile to my parking spot. Another plus of being paranoid, when another car is parked on my passenger side I open the door for my girlfiend (I am actually checking for dents, dont tell her )

Same here. Good to hear more people have the same behaviour, thought I had a problem, but now I know I'm not alone
I prefer parallel parking, preferably pick the spot at the beginning or end. If I don't feel confortable with a spot I change plans.
At work I park in the garage which everywhere has 2 parking spaces between the poles; I always park on the right side (with only a car on the left) because there is always a driver in the car and not always a passenger, so less chance of dents from doors...

Yes to 1, 2 & 3. Except my Milano Red 6-spd got pounded with hail last Wednesday. I can't even look for door dings because my eyes automatically go to the 150 or so "dings" on the hood, roof & trunk lid! Got a call into insurance & should have it fixed in a week or two. Has anyone ever had the "paintless" dent repair? I hope it looks good!

I do all those things. I try to park next to the "islands" where they plant trees, one less car parked next to me. Also, I think it's kinda better to park next to a minivan since they have sliding doors. It depends on how they park though of course.

I'm yes on the first three, no on the last. But I have a good parking far away story to share too. I was taking my Granny to the mall a few years back and she has a handicap permit that we had with us. I parked in one of the h/c spots close to a mall entrance and then realized I was at the wrong entrance - the one she wanted was about 200m away. As I was about to move the car, she says to me "Oh, don't bother, you might not get a handicap spot way over there. I'll just walk."

Talk about . I just let it go. She's old and has earned her senility.

i think i asked this before, but do u guys look in your rear view mirror sometimes when u drive to make sure if the guy behind you is following too close to your TSX? or when you're at a stop light, you look also in ur mirrors to see if the person behind you stopped too close for comfort near your TSX?

2 reasons for this logic are you don't want them to tailgate you or worried about getting rearended.

I am obsessed with have every other aspect of the car in *perfect* running condition, less the appearance (I don't clean the outside as often because of the rain we got, but definitely no food, cig, drinks or kids IN the car).

And I'm always checking mirrors to make sure there aren't any tailgaters.

Coming to a stop and if I think the car behind me is too close for comfort, I'll stop with about a car length in front of me and once the car behind me is stopped...I'll start creeping up to the car ahead of me

I used to eat anything and everything while driving. (Ever try fondue while downshifting for a turn?) I was really good at it. I was fairly neat but burger buns have sesame seeds as nimble as ninjas. They hide EVERYWHERE.

When I got my TSX last July, I reformed. No eating in the car. None.
Drinks in COVERED cups are OK but only in the cupholder if not being actively sipped.

If I even bring takeout food home, I try to put it in the trunk so it can't smell up the interior.

ha! at my school there are 2 lots, a far one and a close one. The close one has 7 parallel spaces, if i cant get one of those, i'll park in the far lot with its abundance of parallel spaces. My last car got all dinged up first quarter, but as you can tell by my sig., i really didnt care about that one

i still use that california duster on my car and still about vacuum the inside of the TSX about every week. still paranoid and cautious about the TSX, what more when it comes time to buy a more expensive car like the G35 coupe
