Don't know, but that's what my manual says. Do you want me to find the page and scan it?

Maybe. Or, as someone suggested earlier, past a certain point you'd need to keep the vehicle's attitude very level to get it all out. I'm just saying, in aircraft (which, admittedly experience more extreme attitudes than cars), there is a certain amount of fuel that is considered unuseable. I'm just wondering if (a) that applies to cars, and (b) if so, what that number is for the TSX.

Yeah, this is sound math. Just to know where I stand, whenever I get a new car, I do the following:
  • Fill the tank and reset Trip1 odometer
  • Drive until the light comes on
  • The moment the light comes on, reset Trip2 odometer
  • Next time it's convenient, fill the tank and write down number gallons as well as the readings from the two odometers
  • Compute your MPG: Trip1 / Gallons
  • Compute your remaining fuel when the light comes on: 17.1 - [(Trip1 - Trip2) / MPG]
  • Compute your remaining miles when the light comes on: MPG * RemainingFuel

My TSX has 97 miles of gas when the light comes on. So, when I see it come on, I immediately reset Trip2, and drive until I get into the ~80 mile range.

There is about 2 and half to 3 unuseable litres of gas in the tank (2/3 -3/4 Gal)

Cool to know; how did you come up with that figure?
