How do i determine build date and build number?

build number is the last 4-5 (i believe) digits on the vin

 

build date is on one of the stickers in your door jam. I think it's jost month and year though, and I think it's in the top right corner or one of those stickers.

 

Production number is assigned to cars yearly on the last 6 digits of the VIN. Every year you could have cars that have the same remaining 6 digits, so records are kept by the final 8 places on the VIN (the 10th digit is the MY slot). The build date for Acuras (except the NSX) usually falls in a 4-day range, but yes, there is tagging in the door to identify the birthday of your car.
