3k is IMO the absolute most they should be charging for Navi. As we know, Acura Canada dedicated a 12 or 13 member team to designing this french freindly system so maybe this is their way of making back their investment. Looks like most of us aren't missing much with the 05's.

$39400 x 15% tax = $45310 and thats without Freight and PDI. It was arguable wheather the TSX was worth the nearly 40K CAD we paid, but I thinks its safe to say it isn't worth $46K ??

I was in the same position...but I decided to save money on the 04's than pay a premium on the 05's.

Come to think about it...you don't really need a Navi to drive around Vancouver.

Go check out a Hertz car sometime w/ the Neverlost. (I'm not saying it's as nice as the Honda/Acura navi.) They have about 6 or 7 languages programmed into the thing that both speak to you and are printed on the screen...

Sorry it is a regional Canadian thing. Poutine is a Quebec delicacy which consists of fries gravy and cheese curds. Sounds gross but it is artery clogging great. Since Ottawa is located right next to the Ontario/Quebec border you get a lot of those funny frenglish sayings. Kinda like when my wife orders sunny side up eggs, she always forgets and ask for eggs facing the sun !!

I've never had any good Quebec poutine but the stuff around here is pretty brutal. I have had it twice and I felt like I was going to die each time. I think it would be ok with real gravy but the artificial stuff that is most common is garbage.

I will take a shot. (this thread is now waaayyyyy off topic) It is a slang of the word tabarnac (sp) which loosely translated is the tabernacle. This is a religious term meaning the alter or place over an alter. Quebec has a very Catholic/Religious history so all their swear words revolve around religion or religious items. Tabarnac is the worst one of them all and would equal fuck in English in terms of significance.

To be precise, in Quebec a tabernacle is the box where the priest puts the cup and the little trinkets for the communion:



In Quebec it is used about 1% of the time in that meaning, the other 99% of the time it is used for swearing.
