Holy CRAP!!

Ok just posted that I got my new Carbon Gray, NAV 2007 TSX with 41 miles on just this past Wednesday. I hardly drove it over the weekend cause I didn't just want to put miles on it for no reason. Lo and behold...I awake this morning early to let my dog out and open the passenger side to put my cell phone inside the car and I see a yellow jacket nest in the door slot??

Do you honestly think this happened over the weekened? Or more than likely there when the car was being stored in the lot for a couple of months. Just to let you know how rare this apparently is try and Google it and you'll come up with nothing.

Let me know your thoughts, and thanks!

They can build those things in a matter of hours.

^ those things have some skills, just like spiders building those darn webs in a matter of hours as well! Get some spray, soak them in it, and then run away for a good 15 mins.....lol

If it was literally on a lot out in the open, then usually the car and ambient air temperatures over the asphalt would preclude a prolonged insect infestation. Even white cars reach 130F parked in the sun all day, darker cars get much hotter.

Yellow jackets like it cool -- they often nest in holes in the ground.

Thanks guys. I talked to the Orkin guy today who said it would take at least 2 weeks for them to build a nest of that size...must have been on the lot like rb1 said. Oh well...I'm taking it in tomorrow to make sure there are none anywhere else and to get my emissions sticker. Wish me luck...or the guy who checks out the car luck.
