HID projector headlights in stock housing?

I'm having an issue with heat after i installed a HID kit for my fog lights. They are outputting a lot more heat than expected because i can see my fog lens becoming blurry like they're melting slowly. They are hot like a mother-, like an exhaust. I tried searching for foglight projectors, but i don't like what i see. I've seen the CL with mesh covers... i don't like how it's just the projector mounted in the old fog positions.

My idea: pull out projectors from another car that fit h11s and try mounting them into the oem housing. Will this tune down some heat without messing up my glass? or will it just project more heat? lol
My friend has a mazda 6 and he has the same HID kit as mine with the same 3000k temp and it's handling well. His fog light housing is acutally built into his headlight with projectors. I'm kinda jealous! haha

if this plan fails... i'm going back to stock bulbs or try finding a better HID kit

I bought the HID kit from eBay, 3000k 35 watts, i'll post a pic tomorrow

Yes I have stated my problem in someone else's thread

Your running the stock oem 06-08 fogs?
it shouldn't be melting something is way too hot. The glass in front is supposed to stand hightemp, and should probably crack if it got to hot when driving or hit by something.

I think the hid kit is running hot, do you have problems with stock bulbs.

I stock oem fogs i ran with h9 bulbs which are 65 w vs 55 no problem there.
eventually my oem glass failed so i had to get lexan replacement glass.

I forgot to mention this is on a '06
i'm running a HID kit in the stock fog housing if that's what you mean. The HID kit is a hell lot hotter than the stock bulbs. No, it hasn't cracked yet and i thought it's suppose to stand high temp

I have no problems with the stock bulbs: h11 55w
I'm thinking about switching back in the stock bulbs or run the projector the project
