HID Incident

This happend last week. I was sitting at a light, up front, and the street had a nice curve to it so my car was on a slight incline. Directly across from me in the oncomming lanes, a truck flashes his highbeams. At first I thought he was trying to flash the signal, so didnt think anything of it. He then did it again just as the light turned green. He goes, I go, and the next thing I see is his arm fully extended out the window, giving me the finger and yelling "FUUUUCK YOUUU!!" as we pass in the night

I was laughing so hard, it was great.

Love my HIDs, love to piss people off even more

Ironic that an asshat driving a truck would give you grief for being blinded by someone's headlights.

Sorry to hear you had to meet such an ignorant fcuk.

Nice job!

you should try this...
once, on my last car, i adjusted the low beams too high, accidentally, and went for a long drive to pick up my mom. since it was pointed high and being very bright with the HIDs people started moving out of my way and had no slow car blocking me.

You too? I find I enjoy the extra "challenge" of light-less driving.

HIDs don't really bother me, whether oncoming or behind me, unless they happen to be on a BMW, which for some reason seem to have more glare. What's worse is headlights aimed too high by some punk driving a Cavalier tailing you on the highway when there's no other lights.

I'm in aus, so we get the Accord Euro with and without HIDs. Well, mine doesn't (I'm a cheap fool), but there was this vehicle with HIDs behind me and it was f*cking bright. I thought it was one of those Lexus RX SUVs that I hate. Well, when he passed, it was the Accord Euro. It's pointed too high that it was bright! I would say just as bright as high beams. Hmm, does that mean that on an incline, your high beams are worthless if you have HIDs on? I think the HIDs should be pointed lower, and if you need more lighting, the fog lamps can be used.

No way. My HID's are aimed perfectly for ME to see down the road. Infact, the cutoff is perfect with the horizon of a flat road. And when driving behind someone, I can tell that the cutoff is well below somones rearview window.

Oops, I think I better rephrase what I said because it was not 100% accurate in delivering my opinion.

With the Euro/TSX's HIDs, when I look into the low beams, it's too bright. This effect is not the same as with the regular low beam lights.I think the HIDs are really much brighter, and somehow the lens focuses it into the oncoming car.

Exactly, thats so I can see better when im driving. Its not my fault if someone is dumb enough to stare directly at my lights
