HID Headlight looks purple

My drivers side headlight has a purple tint to it. You can see it both by looking at the light directly and surfaces that the light hits. The passenger side seems to be the expecting white.
Is this normal or does this indicate a defective lamp.

i believe the driver's side headlight is adjusted to be either a tad bit higher or lower than the passenger side, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

He's talking about the color.

I wish mine were purple, like the ones on the Porsches... They just have a hint of blue.

The light will be a different color depending on the angle due to the projector. But this sounds like the overall color is different from one lamp to the other???

Correct.

No matter what angle you view it from it is purple.

probably on the way out...

time to use your warranty. and contrary to popular (yet ignorant) belief, the closer the color temp is to 4100K - 4300K the better the illumination. blue/purple colors provide poor visibility as well as being very fatiguing to your eyes. so while blue/purple looks cooler, it doesnt work as well as white light. also dont understand why you guys get foglights, the illumination with the HIDs is so solid and broad, cant imagine fog lights improving it.

Other than personal preference, the foglights do provide a wider viewing angle off to the side, which is nice when driving on narrow, windy roads. But I agree that for 90% of all driving conditions, the fogs are useless when combined with the HID. I have them mainly because they were thrown in for free as a part of my negotiation.
