HID fog question

hey guys what's up? Do you guys know where to buy quality HID foglights to match my factory low beam? I supposed the factory HID are 4300k right?

So other than that what can I look at for other options? Should I also change my low beam to something else? I heard there's a lot of colors we can decide...

BTW, anybody had any pics to show me how they looks like..?

Thanks again guys

Pretty sure it's this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GENUI...Q5fAccessories
The ultraslim ballast design is nice, can pretty much slip it in anywhere.. comes with the dbl sided tape too. Install is simple and self explanatory

and I'm dropped on BC RSD's, with much to go before its all the way down.. but at that point i probably can't move. There's about 3" of tread left in the rear.
wo00o the pictures worked

I went with 3000k prolumen hid kit. Their bright but i need put yellow film over my fog so the grounds yellow and the light looks yellow.

Its so bright that you see more white then yellow when looking at my fogs.

I know jaycorbra98 he runs 100 ebay kits and when they go out he throws on a new one.

I got mine used for 80 bucks from an former member andy.

With replacing these fog lights with HIDs, do you get high beamed alot by oncoming cars due to the brightness of your lights when you have your HID headlights and HID fog lights on?

do you have any vibration issues with the 60$ HID kits from ebay ?
Lots of time when im on the freeway i see cars in my rearview mirror with HID lights that has horrible vibrations. So I always though its due to a cheap HID brand.
Thx

The link I gave you was just of the seller, not necessarily the temperature you want.

my 4300k matchs almost identical.

i've got my bulbs aimed very low, but it still glares up off to the side.. can't really fix that.
I only been high beamed twice that I recall the past year since Ive had them, but i have been pulled over for having my high beams on.. but i proved him different so he left me go.
I don't have vibration issues or so i recall, but then i also have the euro front lip which further supports the housing.
and yes, our bulbs are H11

Mine are aimed down and I don't get any problems.

You want to get the h11 kit and h11 bulbs, just to make everything fit easily.

I don't think there should be any vibration is like replace the stock bulbs with slightly longer bulbs.

hey, the kits that you guys bought--does the box say or the actual ballast look like it's sealed so moisture won't get in? just curious. i've heard horror stories of people buying HID kits and they crapped out b/c the ballasts weren't properly sealed and some water or moisture got in.

Umm... your ballast is mounted outside the car. been over a year and it still works, so i'm assuming its sealed..? i don't know, i never inspected the glue they used to hold it together

Anyone know a reputable seller on ebay that sells 4300k? ...the link given above does not offer 4300K.

i thought this was going to be an issue as well. i have yet to be 'flashed' by someone's high beams so it must not be that bad. i also have been running an ebay kit for about 8 months (3000K) and have had zero issues. simple install (as long as your familiar with removing the front bumper cover - may be tough at first, but i'm sure most members can remove it in 2 minutes or less now), and i wish i did it earlier!

Question about that ebay kit. Is there any cutting of wires necessary to install it, or does it come with a wiring adapter to plug into the factory H11 plug and get power that way? Also, with the HID kit, does the indicator on the dash still work?

i just got my HID kit from http://www.ddmlights.com/hidkihidbuhi.html
havent installed them yet, but the units looks goof quality.
i was aware of the ebay ballast quality even it says JDM on it, you know its not JDM, its CHDM lol
the price for the hid kits are fair to me. not like kaixen kits cost so much

That's awesome, and a great option for low priced HID fogs. I'll ask the same questions of that kit as the ebay kits. Does the harness plug into the factory H11 plug (no cutting of wires required)? And does the dash indication still work? And how was the company to deal with? Did they ship your order promptly, provide tracking numbers, etc?

It should just plug into the original fogs currently. Like where the bulbs attached is a connection to the ballast and ect.

Try the groupbuy section there was a guy selling 50 dollar kits most been happy with it.

when installing new HID bulbs, NO, you do not have to remove the headlights. you change them in a similar manner compared to halogen bulbs.

i believe on the driver side the room is limited because the battery is in the way. but its doable. i need to remove bumper to get my fog light bulbs so i would just take off the driver side headlight for easier access.

and the ballasts were made in metal too i believe, its very solid, the box is made of pretty thick metal

DDM 35 and 55 Watt Slim Ballast HID Kit $64.95
I chose 35W cuz 55W will be too much heat to the lense and might melt/crack it.

Just installed them last night. will post pics once i get some night time pics.

Awesome! And you can confirm that you didn't have to cut any wires to do the install? The kit came with wiring that plugs into the factory H11 sockets?

yes no wiring problems, plug and play, however, one of the connector had to be plugged in inversely, i dont knw why. same problem occurred on my gf's hid kit when i bought it on ebay too. but no biggy.

"it seems"

Once you get it down, you can take your bumper off in less than 5 minutes

true.

the most complicated thing is not breaking and keeping track of the different plastic clips.

I find I suck at that part, so I bought a bunch of extra clips to replace the broken and lost ones.
