I think most people just get HID-looking bulbs for the standard foglights. I know that's not exactly what you asked, but I personally can't see a need for "true" HID, just something to match the main headlights. The photos I saw were pretty convincing.
I could have sworn that someone posted about working on a true HID conversion for the fogs, though. I'd search some more, I guess.

i've done it to my 06 tsx fog lights but my foglights were h11 and i replaced them with a 8000 h11 hid plug and play system that i recieved here in houston from a guy for $125 for the whole kit. no problems yet, been around 2 months now and ballast seems to be working fine.

2. Yes there is a conversion kit, H11 "true" HID kits are avail.
Search ebay http://search.ebay.com/search/search...kit&category0=
3. Yes, the kits are usually plug and play. A pair of ballasts that connect to the factory wiring and the Ballasts connect to the Bulbs. It's that simple
Godd luck

Ok, well, only somewhat. I mean, the HID headlights seem extremely bright, and I sometimes question the need for fogs of any color, but when you drive down those lonely backroads, it can help to light up the sides of the road some more. But changing the color to match the mains is just for asthetic reasons mostly, but partially to show that you spent the extra effort to make it HID or at least look the same as, and other drivers haven't.
Most people's fogs aren't really yellow, and aren't white, just normal halogen. If you really wanted yellow, yeah, get something that is really yellow!
I kinda like the "dichroic" or "ion" look too. Yeah, that seems like bling, but if it really does color the light yellow then it seems like it should serve both purposes.
Myself, I think I'll just stick to the normal clear lenses, with an HID-looking bulb. That should be enough bling and actually work OK.

Im not too crazy about the whole HID Matching Fog's but I really like the aspect of Ion look. My friend has a HID kit for his SI, and man is that thing pretty at night. It makes my Nokyas look like crap IMO.

ok, bear with me here, here are some more questions lol
now i understand that a HID conversion kit is pretty much what i need, any good suggestions for the brand? any reputable company?
i don't even have the OEM fog light now, so i guess i have to get a set of fog light housings? where can i get those?
it seems to me that most people stay with the OEM fog light housings for thier HID fogs, does the look turn out like our HID low beam? can the HID projectors be used for fogs? is it the way Audi does on their fogs? if yes, how can this be done in general?
sorry for all these stupid questions, i pretty much know nothing about lightings, i am just trying to know as much as possible before doing something lol, thanks guys

You can get ur fogs here------> Fog Lights
As for the actual HID conversion kit u'll have to decide what color temperature u want before u actually buy one.

sorry to bring back a dead thread, but it doesnt seem like the OP's original questions were answered.
I was searching but couldn't really find the info i needed.
So, I also have an 04 that doesnt have any fog lights. What do i need to get in order to install them? I understand that newer TSXs have stock fogs already and those who want to install HID fogs just have to buy a kit that's plug and play. but for people with no fog housing to begin with, what do we do?
in short, I have an 04 and want HID fogs. whadda do?

First off you're gonna have to buy a set of fogs
Options:
A - Genuine Honda OEM from the dealership - ~300$
B - JDM OEM replicas off ebay - ~70$ (I think it's safe to say 75% of the 04-05's here on the boards use these, myself included)
Secondly, pick up a HID kit. That's gonna be your own personal preference. Our bulb size is H11.
There are 60$ HID kits available on ebay. Or if you're one of those anti-ebayers, you can buy the 150-200$+ kits, which in (my own) theory, makes no difference since our fogs arn't projected. Aside from a nice little sticker that says Kaixen or Phillips etc..
Fog light installation instructions by Peregrine:

Hope this helps.
