The 3-series is generally more acclaimed than the A4 by car critics. So was the E39 5-series.

People that get all bent out of shape over their job title (or its lack of PC) have far too much time on their hands. Janitors don't need to be called `Environmental Waste Engineers` or any such silliness just as `administrative assistant` is a bs title for secretary. (We have both titles in numerous depts at my company and when it comes down to the work, it really doesn't matter.)

Anyway, someone asked about iDrive....the other half loves it, I hate it. The going joke is the computers in teh 745i hate me as much as I hate them, BUT it is amazing that a car that big can feel as nimble as a 3 series

I saw a new 5-Series for the first time today. It looks exactly like it does in the picture. The lines are still odd. The amber "brow" on top of the headlight is LED, I think. Headlights looked very feminine, like it was wearing eye liner, not sure if it works.

On the other hand, it seems that iDrive is a little more intuitive than in the 745i. Only problem is, BMW released the car without Nav being avail until early Spring....how lame!
