Here's another vent...
I see that my little vent is getting some feedback about seeing sooo many parents foolishly giving TSXs as presents to teenagers who barely know how to drive without letting their sons/daughters know the value of money and appreciate what they have....
Anyway, this vent is about... driving on the ATL portion of I85 and I24... So, I was on my way back from my drive to ATLANTA, GA yesterday. Drove back at around 6pm EST. The drive each way is 3hrs.
So driving back, I was going at 10mph above the speed limited posted on the highways at most. Normally, I'd feel like I'm driving a Yugo as everyone's zooming past me. However, I don't know if it's the full moon or something, but everyone's driving like a granny. Even blocking the fast lane. I felt like Michael Andretti in my TSX. I even slowed down to the speed limit at several points and I'd look back at my rear view mirror and the cars appear to diminish quite quickly.
I must've missed the memo about something from the highway patrol yesterday. A normal drive from Atlanta back to where I live would be about 3hrs, but it took me 3.7hrs - and there weren't much traffic. I think there's something about collective hive syndrome that bears some truth. If the collective mass slows down everyone would tend to drive slower than they otherwise would've...
Ditto with speed driving. There's a stretch in Atlanta where the speed limit is 55, however, EVERYONE and their grandma drives at 80-85. I was fearing for my life at 70, half expecting someone to rear end me.

Nothing is worse than people sitting & blocking the left lane. When I see stuff like that I go full road-rage mode. I need to just let it go but it's just really frustrating!!!
