i'll look into that.

but, after i broke the damper hook, i briefly looked to see if the entire assembly was exposed with the glove box hanging all the way down. i didn't see anything...

confirmation to come shortly.

I just replaced my cabin filter, total time was around 5 minutes. Thanks for all the great info. Unfortunately, I have spent around 30 minutes trying to put the damper hook back on, and the little sucker just won't go on. I know it is not broken. Is there something I am missing? Any help would be great.

Replaced mines yesterday, this is after 20k miles.


New Accord cabin filter got it online for around 16bux.


yeah.. about that nasty'ness~

Did you ever get it on? Mine went back on quite easily. I just lifted the glove box up a bit and put the damper arm down in the hold on the glove box and pulled it forward until it snapped into place.

That is what I tried, and the handle that is supposed to snap back just broke. Guess I will have to lock the compartment, so it doesnt open when I hit a big bump

Just changed the air and cabin filter.....the only hard thing about the cabin filter are the black tabs...just push those in and squeeze both sides of the box and pull down slightly....id say about 5-7 mins to complete....both filters were dirty as heck...im at 30mi....probably will replace every 15....damn NOVA air...PERFORMING MAINTENANCE ON YOUR OWN CAR.......PRICELESS
