HELLO Everyone!

Just signing in to say hello! I just ordered a CG/NAV/6MT from Acura of Boston today. Build date is 7/1 and I'll be expecting delivery end of August. It'll definitely be a long wait!

Thanks to all of you for making this the obvious decision. I've been juggling around for quite some time with other competitors but I was able to find everything I needed to know here. Pics will be posted as soon as I take delivery.

Hahaha...you won't have to worry about me. This noob is well aware of the forum etiquette.

One question I did want to ask you guys though...how many of you opted for Lojack? Acura was offering me all these extra warranty and services and Lojack was the only one I was debating about. They wanted to charge me $700 for the system and I'm wondering if it's worth it. I understand it's 35% off your car insurance which is great! Thanks for any feedback on this.

call your insurance carrier first, my company would only give me a 5% discount on the comp portion of my insurance. since it was so little, i didn't bother with lojack. don't listen to the hype of the salesman.

Thanks Ken! I'll go see my agent tomorrow and have them estimate the cost with and w/o Lojack. How much does the standard alarm from Acura go for anyway?

i agree with kenk, i had Lojack on my old lude and insurance only gave 5% off comp...not worth it IMO. i would get a 2 way alarm with additional battery powered backup alarm

Dabuda, you're my idol! You have the best looking TSX on the forum in my opinion (I hope dzuy isn't too offended...I know you two guys are rivals!). I went with the ebony interior!

Dabuda, were you still able to use the Acura alarm FOB since you chose an aftermarket alarm?

Baha14zero... don't need another alarm system, the tsx has one built in. in fact, my insurance carrier told me they forgot to give me the discount with an alarm and credit me a whopping $15 off my annual rate.

Hi! robert_tsxgeek-san !
What a coincidence ! I've just read the article about the factory tour in the car magazine "JAF Mate".
But unfortunately it says that the tour of Sayama factory will have been stopped until the end of September. Because the line has been renovated. Is that for New Legend (Acura RL) ??
Suzuka factory is OK.

Honda Sayama factory tel +81-42-953-4111 (After 2nd August)

P.S. Do you like "Dora-emon" ?

Thanks all for the warm welcome! You guys were right about Lojack. I went to see my agent this morning and was told I would be saving pennies. I'll just go with the basic alarm Acura provides.

Looks like I'll be paying approx $2100 for insurance. I'm not sure how it is outside MA but every car here has a symbol associated to it and that dictates how much you pay. The TSX scores an 18 here while my 95 Accord I'm currently driving scores a 12. The lower the # the less you pay pretty much. I always thought newer cars were safer and less likely to be stolen due to technological advances. It would make sense that this would drive insurance costs down.
