I'm sure this question has been asked before. I've search & have had no luck. My wife cracked up the left side of her 2007 TSX. She needs a new hood, fender & light. I bought a 2004 TSX headlight. Will it fit? Do I have to get a 2004 ballast as well?

 

The design on 2006+ headlight assembly are different from the 2004-05.

 

As far as fitment goes, it looks like it would fit.....someone correct me if I'm wrong. And the way the 2006+ TSX orange corners look is a bit different from the 2004 TSX corners.

 

As said 2004-05 has a different headlight and ballast connection. Physically it will line up overall fine but the ballast connection underneath the headlight is diff from the 06-08 and it does look a little different but that's just cosmetic nit picking.

You could modify the headlight bottom so an 06-08 ballast will fit but it is a real PITA and not clean looking or (IMO) a good weather seal, I've done it and don't feel it's worth it. You would have to shave off a tab and only connect 2 screws instead of 3. Also, you would need to tape up the ballast since it won't line up with the whole that it should and it would need to screw in upside down.

If it's an 06-08 save the time and just get the same yr headlight and do a quick and simple swap, but since you bought the light you could go out and just buy a 04-05 ballast.
