HEadlight Replacement for 2005 TSX
Hi All,
I haven't replaced my headlights as i feel the headlights seems to be dimmer.
Also not sure what's the replacement interval for headlights ? I have almost 144k on my TSX.
The dealer quoted 220 for the headlights themselves.
Wondering what OEM Replacement Bulbs i can use.
Are Sylvania D2S any good ??
Thanks

For direct OEM replacement (4300K 35W D2S) - Philips or Osram - made in Germany. I bought some through eBay for $65 per bulb.
Typical lifespan for an OEM HID bulb is 3500 hrs. I personally tried aftermarket 5000K bulbs; only lasted less then 1yr.

I have the same suspicion, but I doubt it's the bulbs (05 w/ 160K miles here). The headlight casing itself (you know, the thing you look at when you look at the front of the car) is getting kind of ugly and I'm pretty confidant that that's the problem. I tried one one of those "headlight restorer" kits, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I'd like to hear from anyone that has found something that actually make the headlights look like new.
I've also noticed that my lights aren't as bright as I'd want. I tend to drive with my lights on all the time (day and night). So, I'd imagine I'm way past the 3500 hour life. Than again, I live in Flagstaff, AZ. We're the first Dark Sky city (lots more now). That means most city lights are off at night, mostly because we have the Lowell Observatory here. Anyway, its pitch black when you drive around. Makes for lots of fun with wildlife.
