Have you replaced your own clutch/transmission?
Im looking for some pointers, im about to dig into my clutch job in the next few weeks. I have read once or twice, that to just do the clutch and flywheel, you do not have to drop the subframe, all you do is slide the transmission over. Once again im just looking for some pointers.
Thanks in advance,
Derek

Someone on here has said that the trans can be removed without dropping the subframe. I can't say for certain, but I tried it on the last '04 Accord 4cyl clutch I did, and I could find no way to get the trans off with the subframe in the way. Ended up stopping half way through and lowering the subframe/steering rack down as an assembly like I've done all '03-up Accords before. Any way you look at it, it's a fairly big job.

I'm up for the job, swapping motors and all that is nothing new. I was just trying to get out of extra work. I'm just doing the clutch and flywheel.
As for how many miles I have on the clutch is 95k. But I think the flywheel is the problem I'm having. Look at my post in problems and fixes forum
