Has your TSX been keyed?

Hello all,

Just curious if anyone has had any issues with their first gen TSX being keyed? I think that mine was keyed a few months ago, but I was able to buff the scratch out (not very deep). Anyway's, I was just curious if anyone else had issues with their car, especially if they've had it park in a crappy area.

Thanks!

Well a lot of people wear key chains these days and sometimes they bump into cars and leave nasty little scratches so that could be a possibility.

I went to the city today, but didn't want it getting effed up so I parked at the train station. I think someone scratched my windshield pretty bad (I need to clean it to make sure it's not just crap on there), but I think someone got me because I took a corner spot and parked close to the wall. Only reason I can think of for someone doing this is someone knew I wanted to avoid door dings because I parked closer to the wall than the guy on my left, and wanted to "teach me a lesson" for trying to take care of my car...

Not yet. But I park as far away from everyone else as I can. And seldom at a curb.

I park as far away as possible, too. I have never been keyed (knock on wood), but someone with a red car hit my front bumper once.

well... i just got keyed about a month and a half ago -_- in front of my own house.... (i think its the neighbors...)

also while i was in school, i left my car home and my mom decided she wanted to use the car... don't know how this happened but she got the side skirt falling off -_-, the front bumper falling off too -_- and the trunk lid apparently was scratched (like someone placed something really heavy and just dragged it...

Oh and she also got this crazy dent (like 6 inches in diameter)... im assuming someone kicked it in... -_-

i usually park my car in the garage but the garage was being used that day so i parked it out in front. came out the next morning with a scratch starting from the passenger back door all the way to the middle of the front door and another 1 inch scratch on the fender.. don't know why anyone would do this, i've only been living in the area for less than a year when this happened. i don't know anyone around here at all.

So how do you fix your car when it has been keyed? Can you buff it out with some kind of solution or do you need to repaint?

The scratches are usually too deep to be buffed out.

i just took my car to the shop this morning. $320 for the door panel, gas lid, and some touch up on the rear panel. the guy said it was too deep just to buff out.

sucks.

Yup, front 1/4 panel, two doors, a rear 1/4 panel and the trunk lid...

Yay.
