Is it hard to remove the front license plate holder?

I'm planning to remove the front license plate holder on the TSX because I've seen pics of other TSX's on here and especially the graphic pic on top of the screen and the TSX looks a lot better w/o a front plate.

Is it tough to remove the holder?

Also my friend told me to buy a chrome licence plate frame for the back, but i think that looks tacky, and i think a black plate frame looks better on the carbon grey or on any TSX. Well, that's all.

Two screws hold it on. Look underneath and you should see them. After you take the license plate off don't forget to take the clips that hold the screws off.

It's a piece of cake. And the car looks great without it.

But it is illegal. what I did was put the whole thing(front license plate and one of those clips!!) in trunk so whenever cops pull me over for not having front license plate I'm just gonna be like "Oh it fell off today at the gas station, and I think one of my clips are missing so I couldn't put it back on. look I even have my license plate in mmy trunk. I will call my dealer tomorrow." is this going to work? I doubt it but worth the try...and my car looks so much better without it ^^

I've driven the car for nearly a year now without the front plate without any hassles whatsoever. I've even been pulled over before and the cop completely failed to notice. For the most part, if you drive inconspicuously, the police won't pull you over specifically to tag you for a front plate missing. I too keep the plate and bracket in the trunk just in case, but considering that I haven't had any trouble so far, I don't really expect any (knock on wood).

Same here in MA... drove with the plate off my last car for 4 years, just had to remember to put it back on for the annual inspection, they won't inspect it otherwise. Was thinking about taking the plate off the TSX, good to know it's easy!

In upstate NY a while back I was actually pulled over and ticketed for not having a front plate on. I had a new dodge ram at the time, and I got one of those ram heads airbrushed on a plate to put on it.

This cop was pissed too, maybe it was just a bad day for her or something.

I got pulled over for my stock headlights... the cop looked all over the front of the car while claiming they weren't stock, even had me turn on the high beams and carefully checked them out (hence seeing the empty space in the midddle)! He never noticed the missing license plate.

My installed front license plate holder is really "flimsy" feeling, and although it's not loose, it does always even look straight. Has anyone dealt with this crappy plate holder. I'm in Texas, so I have to have the front plate installed.

I swear I read that Texas changed that somewhat recently and that now only the rear plate is required.

Anyone from Ohio ever been pulled over for no front plate? I removed mine about a month and a half ago and haven't had any trouble yet. I too keep the plate in my trunk.

Just moved out of ohio , but I have a couple friends in columbus who have been driving without front plates for the last 4 years

Anyone from Missouri know how strict the cops are about not having front plates on?

If you get stopped in Texas by a State Trooper, nine times out of ten, you will get a ticket. Not worth it IMO. I just relocated mine somewhat.
